Sony has updated its Walkman app to newer version 8.4.A.1.4 which brings many noticeable changes in the app. Walkman 8.4.A.1.4 app update is confirmed on many Xperia devices running android 4.3 and android 4.4 versions. Walkman 8.4.A.1.4 update is 11 MB in size, available as OTA on Xperia Z1, Z2, Z, ZL, ZR, Z Ultra, SP, M2 etc.

Xiaomi Mi 3 priced in India at Rs 14999 – 15 July, pre-registrations starts

Today, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Mi 3 smartphone, claimed to be the fastest Xiaomi smartphone ever for Rs 14999 in India ( i.e. $251). It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 8274AB 2.3GHz processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM. On the top of it, there is a well known user interface known as ‘MIUI’ which is really snappy!

Mi 3 is 8.1mm thin, 145 grams light, and houses an aluminum-magnesium alloy frame, coated with 3 layers of thermal graphite.It features Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4Ghz/5Ghz) and NFC. It takes amazing photos in low light with a super-large Exmor sensor and an ƒ/2.2 aperture. The built-in Phillips dual-LED quickly adds the perfect lighting making subjects beautiful.

Sony’s Xperia C3 will come with Google Android 4.4 (KITKAT), Snapdragon 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Quad-core processor,an 8 MP camera with auto focus, 2500 mAh battery, 5.5″ HD (1280×720), and a 5MP 720p wide-angle (25mm with 80 degree field of view) front camera lens (with Superior Auto mode) with a soft LED flash. Photos can be taken by double tapping the back cover or using Smile Shutter.

Today Sony in London has officially launched first of its kind Xperia C3 PROselfie smartphone with 5 MP front cam 25 mm wide angle lens with Superior Auto Mode and soft LED flash light.

Xperia C3 comes as a successor of Xperia C with a surprise from the company. Xperia C3 features 5.5″ 720p HD screen display with Triluminos Mobile Bravia Engine 2 packed in 7.6mm light weight 150 grams frame, Snapdragon 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 1 GB RAM, Adreno 305 GPU, 8 MP rear cam, 8 GB internal memory with 32 GB external SD card slot and android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Xperia C3 Selfie phone video leaked – front cam in action with LED flash

Sony is about to launch their first Xperia phone with LED flash in front cam on 8 July tagging it as “Xperia Selfie Phone”, info came through a tweet made by Sony Mobile. Later today we saw Xperia C3 selfie phone real pictures getting leaked. Now we know a lot about Xperia C3 i.e. it features LED flash placed beside front cam, 2500 mAh battery, removable back cover and probably a 5″ screen display.

Just now Xperia C3 Selfie phone video has been leaked where you can see LED flash of front cam in action. Sony has tweaked software for front camera this time. You can see the guy in video tapping twice on back cover of phone to take a cam shot. Like Portrait Retouch camera app of Xperia T2 Ultra Dual there is also an image editing app (name not known yet) where the person in video changes the texture of his eyes.

A moment ago Sony Mobile confirmed that they will be launching a Xperia Selfie phone on 8 July and here come the first leak about this selfie phone. Sony’s slefie phone will be commercially named as Xperia C3 Selfie phone which comes with bright front LED flash places beside front cam and features 2500 mAh battery. It seems it is the new successor of Xperia C.

It seems Xperia C3 Selfie phone will feature a 5″ screen display ( resolution not revealed so far ) and mid end range device specifications. Some pics in black and turquoise color have been leaked which represents that Xperia C3 will be launched in mult-colors and some colors will be specific to regions like Japan, China, Taiwan etc as noted by Weibo.

LG G Watch, Samsung Gear Live available in India on Play store for sale

Google introduced the final version of Android Wear at Google I/O 2014. The company showed off the new software on the LG G Watch. As per Google’s survey, people check their smartphones an average of 125 times a day. They claimed that smartwatches can let you access notifications without having to find your phone.

Google announced the first three Android Wear devices during the keynote. The LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live smartwatch and Moto 360. All three smartwatches were used during the demos of Android Wear. About 2 days after launch, two of them are now available to buy through Google’s play store and now they are also available in Indian Google Play Store.

Are you bored of your old stock navigation keys on your Xperia device, well if yes then here is something you can try i.e. customized SuperUser navigation bar softkeys courtesy of XDA user androidfreak70. SuperUser is an app used to main app admin rights permission on rooted devices. If you are not using some modded Xperia themes this SuperUser navigation bar softkeys are pretty cool.

It works great on rooted, deodexed Xperia Z ROM but it should also work on stock KitKat ROM. Back up your systemUI.apk first before using this mod. Jolla launcher is for Jolla phones as a part of Sailfish UI, but company recently ran a program where some alpha testers were given Jolla Launcher For Android to test on their devices and later the launcher was made available on Play Store for Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 users. Unfortunately it is not yet available for other device users.

We tested Sailfish Jolla Launcher For Android on our Xperia Z1 running on android 4.4.4 and it works great. XDA user riyono has ported successfully launcher for all android users running android 4.2+ above. It doesn’t require root. Ported Firefox OS Xperia SP UI pics and video demo

Do you remember Mozilla Firefox OS, Sony demoed Firefox OS on Xperia E last year for developers which unfortunately never came to users. Sony also submitted a gadget functionality to Firefox OS but things then didn’t work out. Adam Farden from FreeXperia Project team has ported Firefox on Xperia SP now exclusively.

Dalvik virtual machine is replaced with Mozilla’s Gecko rendering engine. Firefox OS is still in developing stage and not for high end device but still it works on Xperia SP. As like a new OS, Bluetooth, GPS and Camera are not working and SIM card is not recognizable due to a bug in Firefox OS as reported. Calling and SMS functionality is working fine. Wi-Fi and other sensors are also working.

Below you can see the demo UI of Firefox OS Xperia SP. UI looks very simple, you can’t compare it with android OS UI.

At present Firefox OS is not available for installing by the developer but will be soon available in future, so this question “How to install Firefox OS on Xperia SP” will not be answered now. If this port goes successfully then we can expect Firefox OS ported on other low end devices like Xperia P, E, U, Ray, Arc, Mini etc.

Sony has officially updated Xperia Z1 to android 4.4.4 update 14.4.A.0.108 firmware and for users who love to try custom features on their device we brought today Superuser Mod. Superuser Mod will help you to install and run various custom mods like 4K Cam and TimeShift Video in Xperia Z1.

You must be on android 4.4.4 14.4.A.0.108 firmware, if not get the ftf from here and flash via flashtool (Flashing firmware steps here). To install below given Superuser Mod, you need to be rooted. To root Xperia Z1 on 14.4.A.0.108 firmware follow these steps. Install Recovery on your device, follow these steps. Now install deodex patch on your rooted recovery installed Xperia Z1, follow these steps. Now when you are done with above all three mandatory requirements proceed with given below tutorial.

A couple of days back we saw Sony D6653 getting certified on Indonesian Postel where we assumed it as one of the new high end devices and now it seems the speculation has come true. Sony D6653 about phone screen shot has leaked confirming it featuring MSM8974AC Pro Snapdragon 801 processor ( possibly be 2.5 GHz quad core ).

Sony D6653 is speculated as Xperia Z3 seeing at the same time within last 24 hours confirmation has come on the existence of Xperia Z3 Compact D580X with an about phone screenshot featuring the same Snapdragon processor model. Seeing at screenshot and processor, Xperia Z3 is tipped to feature a 1080p screen rather than QHD which was expected.
