POOR Sony Service Center support on Xperia Z1 Yellow Hue Tint Issue on Display Screen

Till now if you are not aware of “Yellow Hue Tint” issue on Xperia Z1 then let us tell you. Sony Xperia Z1 is suffering from “Yellow Hue Tint” on the display screen because of that screen of Xperia Z1 appears a bit yellowish rather than pure white. For a few people this is only a calibration issue on the display but for some like me and others, Xperia Z1’s whole left side of display is a yellowish. Do you know what is funny ?

Folks at Sony Service Center are not even taking this issue seriously.

POOR Sony Service Center support

Being an author of Sony Xperia Smartphone dedicated website, I love Xperia phones but I must say Sony Service Center Support is the WORST I have ever experienced. I have got yellow hue tint on my Xperia Z1 screen and Sony Service Center is treating my like crap.

Check one yellow hue image on Xperia Z1 yourself.

Check the screen color of both Xperia Z1’s, both are at same brightness level, X-Reality of and Optimized backlight on.

Let me tell you the whole story.

28 Sept 2013 – Bought Sony Xperia Z1.
29 Sept 2013 – Registered Xperia Z1 Yellow Hue Tint Issue on Display Screen after contacting Sony Customer Care on phone number 1800-3000-2800 INDIA and got a ticket id #13092900045. Submitted my phone for the check on the next day.
1 Oct 2013 – Sony Customer care told me that your phone is ready and I must go to Service Center and collect it. When I reached there, Sony Service Center told me that nothing has been done and they have just installed the software again and issue is still there.

What, I said ? When nothing was done why did you tell me.

Sony Service Center FRAUDULENTLY CLOSED Ticket Id No # 13092900045. YELLOW HUE TINT ISSUE ON Xperia Z1 ( PURCHASED ON 28 Sept ) is still there.

On 1st October Sony Service Center gave me a new ticket id #13100101659 for the same issue and took some photos of my Xperia Z1 faulty display and sent them to their seniors for approval of replacement of handset.

POOR response from Senior Executive Hitesh and Ankit of Customer Care

They gave my new ticket id 13100101659 and asked my to wait till 4 October then they will be telling if any such issue is there or not. Suppose if I get approval for replacement for my handset then I will be getting it around 7-10 days later that is around Mid October, Wow great, I bought Xperia Z1 on 28 Sept and I will be getting is back from Sony Service Center after 15 days.

Workers at Service Center are illiterate ones

When I told them about Xperia Z1 Yellow Hue Tint Issue on Display Screen, they said they never heard of it. Sony acknowledged the same issue on Xperia S and replaced all faulty handsets and they don’t even know of it. Poor illiterate people Sony have put in Service Centers that’s why we customers are getting so much trouble.

Sony Disregarding the issues on Email with no response.

I mailed Sony, regarding this issue on 30 Sept on email id [email protected] explaining my whole issue from which I received below mail.

Soon after this mail they asked for my alternate contact details and I have provided to them but again and again I am getting mails from them asking for the same.

It’s clear they don’t care about it at all.

When Sony is treating the Xperia Z1 Customers likes this, how bad they will treat other customers; think yourself.

Complaint filed against Sony Mobile in CONSUMER COURT INDIA

For very bad customer support from Sony and fraudulently closing the case without resolving it and not replacing and identifying the problem is user’s handset Xperia Z1 in warranty we have filed two complaints against Sony Mobiles India in Consumer Court, with complaint numbers No-64208.2.2013 and No-64209.2.2013.

If your handset is only 7 days old, get a DOA guys ASAP.

Do comment with the week in which your device was manufactured ? Mine was of 37th Week means 9 Sept to 15 Sept. Look inside your SIM slot there is one plate inside it pull it out and check the week of manufacturer ?

I have got my new Xperia Z1 being replaced under terms of DAO filed and this new one has no yellow hut tint issue and serial number starts with BH906******. I am happy now that finally got a full functional Xperia Z1.

[ UPDATE ] Xperia Z1 Yellow Hue Issue is not related to Serial Numbers.

Let me clear up the Xperia Z1 Yellow Hue problem ( From MTV ( India ) VJ hoezay )

I’m not an expert, my conclusion is based on my time spent with my old Z1 ( defective screen, Sony service center agreed as well ) and my new Z1.

So here it goes:
I bought a Sony Xperia Z1 C6902 around the end of last month. After coming home I almost immediately felt like there was something wrong with the screen.The display light seemed to be coming from the sides ( like underwater divers with lights).I had this yellow hue and slight tilts would produce drastic washing out + more of this mysterious “yellow hue” everyone’s been talking about.The display just didn’t seem uniform. Videos and pictures however seemed to display perfectly. A completely white screen would appear patchy.

After a lot of running around, going nuts and tweeting, I finally got my replacement Z1 today.

Now : Slight tilts DO NOT produce drastic washing out anymore.The screen displays uniformly now .The sharpness of viewing angles still sucks, and there is slight washing out, but only after you’re holding it at an awkward angle.

HOW TO CHECK IF YOUR Z1 displays whites correctly. ?

Do this : Go to your service menu. In your device, open the dialer and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
Hit Service Tests —> Display
You will notice the 1st and 2nd screens match the yellow/off whitish tone of the settings menus. ( On a bad screen it will be patchy, on a good screen it will be uniform )
Now tap the screen 8 times
THIS screen will show you if your device displays whites correctly.

Conclusion.
There are 2 things going on here.The yellow hue and and bad Z1 screens are two different issues, but not completely separate.
The yellow hue /off whitish color seems to be Sony’s color config for the Z1.( check the screen i’ve mentioned above to know if your device shows whites correctly )
The bad screens are the ones that don’t display uniformly and seem patchy ,have drastic washing out on slight tilting ( which in turn, seems to make the “yellow hue” seem worse, making people think they’re connected.)

So,
Bad Screen : Patchy when displaying a full white screen, drastically bad viewing angles, not uniform, display distortion on even a slight tilt.
Good Screen : Decent viewing angles, NOT patchy when displaying a full white screen, uniform display.
ALL screens seem “yellow”.

Sony’s customer service here was SO SLOW and It should have happened sooner but after almost a month, I’m finally using the device I paid for.
Trust your eyes. Don’t blindly accept that all Z1 screens are bad. The Z1 has a lovely display.Know the difference between the “yellow hue” and a defective screen.

Support from Sony Service center is very bad not at all cooperative. We will highlight this matter as much we can and will make it an issue. Sony Service Centers are dis-regarding this issue and customers of Xperia Z1.

How to Root Xperia Z1 using 360root, vRoot, Kingo Android ROOT Tools

Xperia Z1 has finally landed up in many markets across the world and some are appreciating its brilliance and some are criticizing it, well that happens with every phone but what is more important is that development from the point of view of developers have begun and Xperia Z1 is soon catching up its predecessor in that area. Today we will see how to root Sony Xperia Z1.

Till now no one click method like DooMLoRD Rooting kit is available but some rooting tools like 360root, vRoot, Kingo Android ROOT etc. have managed to root Xperia Z1 successfully on all firmware till now, latest one available is 14.1.G.1.534 firmware.

How to Root Xperia Z1 ?

There are three tools now to root Xperia Z1, we will discuss all three here. 360root and vRoot are in Chinese language and Kingo Android is in English language. Working on all 14.1.G.1.526 , 14.1.G.1.531 and 14.1.G.1.534 firmware of Xperia Z1.

Root Xperia Z1 using vRoot

Download vRoot tool. Install it after downloading, keep on clicking next button till installation is finished, whole interface is in Chinese language.
Open the vRoot program on PC and connect your Xperia Z1 to PC. Enable “unknown apps” installation option in security settings and “USB Debugging also”.
See below image you will get notification like that when your Xperia Z1 is identified with its model number.

Click on “Green ROOT” button and your Xperia Z1 is rooted. As soon as it is finished, you will see a screen like this.

Below you can see a video tutorial on how to root Sony Xperia Z1 via vRoot.

Root Xperia Z1 using 360root

Download and Install 360root program on your PC. It require a Chinese OS to start up, but you may able to run it using compatibility settings on Windows PC.
Before connecting phone to PC, turn on USB Debugging on Xperia Z1 then connect it.
Open 360root program and see the “Green ROOT” button at the bottom right corner, click on it.

As soon rooting is finished you will get a message saying “Congratulations, rooting was successful” in Chinese 😛

Now see the “Green” button in above image, click on it to get root permissions.
After that you will see the “Root” written in “BLUE” color on the top left corner means your Xperia Z1 have not root permissions.

Root Xperia Z1 using Kingo Android

Download and Install Kingo Android program on PC.
Enable USB Debugging before connecting Xperia Z1 to PC.

Then follow the on-screen instructions to root your Xperia Z1.

A month is about to pass since we saw official unveiling Sony Xperia Z1 and now we just spotted a brochure leak showing specifications of Xperia Z1 (SO-01F) and Xperia Z1 f (SO-02F) aka Xperia Homami Mini which is rumored a lot since Xperia Z1 launched. Brochure seems to be a part of NTT DoCoMo’s new handset launch in Japan.

Brochure leak shows three colors of Xperia Z1 (SO-01F) aka Xperia Z1 in Black, White and Purple and Xperia Z1 f (SO-02F) rumored to be Xperia Honami Mini in 4 colors, Black, White, Red/Pink and Yellow seems just like the colors in which iPhone C was launched.

In closely inspecting the pics, we saw that at present on Xperia Z1 C6902 / C6903 there is “Sony” logo on the back but now we saw here ” Xperia” Logo on back

We hope above brochure leak is a true one and Xperia Honami Mini as Xperia Z1 f (SO-02F) comes soon in the market. No info regarding the price is put on now, but definitely soon it will revealed also.

Xperia Z1 Yellow Hue Tint Issue on Screen Display – Solution

Sony boasted it’s Triluminos display on Xperia Z Ultra which has till now the best ever screen display Sony has produced but does Sony Xperia Z1 also has the same stunning display. Our answer and what many users are reporting to us is “No”, Xperia Z1 screen display is not par with Xperia Z Ultra. No difference is caught on the display comparison of Xperia Z and Xperia Z1. Display on Xperia Z1 seems same as like on Xperia Z.

Another issue has popped up on the quality of Sony Xperia Z1 display, many users have reported to us that they are having “Yellow Hue Tint” on screen display of Xperia Z1. White doesn’t appear proper white on screen display and on the left side of screen display in mainly yellowish, not proper white. Though an issue of poor viewing angles on the screen of Xperia Z1 has also come up but in this post that’s not our concern. Users are now saying screen lottery again ??

Highly disappointed this time, lat time any such issue came up during the reign on Sony Xperia S, which Sony acknowledged. Now Xperia Z1 users are complaining the same that they have got the poor display screen on their Xperia Z1. If you have bough the Xperia Z1 then have a look at the top left side of screen, does it appear proper white as it should or you see a slight yellow hue tint on it. If not like us you are lucky but if you have it then it is very unfortunate for you.

Let’s have a look at some of screen samples of Xperia Z1 which have this yellow hue tint on screen.

A word of Good Advice to all such users

Go to nearest Sony Service Center, and get your screen display checked. If the issue is confirmed get your Xperia Z1 replaced. This is the best option but is doesn’t guarantee that the upcoming new Xperia Z1 for you will not have this issue. But to get it replaced is certainly a better option, it may not have this issue.

Temporary Solution

We see the “White Balance” Settings option is not present in Xperia Z1 though it was in Xperia Z, it should have fixed the issue a bit.

If you screen is off white in color then do the below mentioned steps :-

Set the Brightness level to 35%. Uncheck the “adapt to lightning conditions” option.
Download this app from Google Play “Screen Adjustor“.
Set the “Blue Level” to “+6” in the app settings and tap on run the app option.

Above settings will temporarily fix the issue and white will appear as it should. Although it looks that it’s just a calibration issue may be Sony fix it in the upcoming firmware update. But what if there is something actually wrong with the display of Xperia Z1, then it’s an issue of concern for all Xperia Z1 users.

Xperia Z1 14.1.G.2.213 firmware update Coming Soon

A series of firmware updates 14.1.G.1.526 , 14.1.G.1.531 and 14.1.G.1.534 have hit Xperia Z1 recently and yet another 14.1.G.2.213 firmware is soon expected to be rolling on Xperia Z1. Just now an about phone screenshot from Xperia Z1 C6902 HSPA+ is seen in wild which states build number as 14.1.G.2.213 firmware.

14.1.G.2.213 firmware changes the present 14.1.G.X.XXX firmware formation and is expected as a major update to bring out some noticeable changes in the Xperia Z1. Xperia Z1 users are complaining of many issues in present firmware.

Xperia Z1 Camera app Info-eye version 1.1.02 update rolled

Talking of Xperia Z1 firmware updates, it has got three updates till now at very frequent intervals, they are necessary to as many Xperia Z1 users are complaining of yellow hue and tint on screen, a lot noise in camera pics taken in superior auto mode and fake sleep of death ( SOD ) issue on Xperia Z1 in which the screen black outs due to some problem is auto back-light optimization.

Just now two updates are being noticed on Xperia Z1 one is Camera app Info-eye version 1.1.02 update which has been rolled out and other is unseen 14.1.G.2.213 firmware update of Xperia Z1 which has not been rolled but yet seen on someone’s handset in wild.

Xperia Z1 camera app Info-eye has been updated to version 1.1.02 now and is confirmed on both Xperia Z1 C6902 HSPA+ and C6903 LTE handsets in India, UK as an OTA update.

Xperia Z1 users are complaining very much over the Xperia Z1 camera app which is not behaving as it should, hope we may see a new major firmware update soon or atleast a quick update to camera app.

How to Adjust Xperia Z on tripod ?

You can use the 12x Zoom telescope photolens in two ways either put it up directly on your Xperia Z. A bit risky it would be but we tried, though not recommended at all, as the weight of lens may take down your Xperia Z and it’s cam may be damaged.

Put your Xperia Z in the case which came inside box.
Now take 12x Zoom photolens and tighten it in the screw hole opening given in the case and use the phone to take photos.

Note :- Switch flash off while taking photos like this. Hold your phone gently and the 12x Zoom photo lens even more tightly.

Now let’s see how to put your Xperia Z on Tripod.

Adjust the tripod first on its legs. Spread them a bit.

Take the “Lens holder ring adjustment screw” and put the photo lens inside it.

Now tighten the lens holder ring adjustment screw on top of tripod and tighten with the help of black screw given at the side of tripod. Once the tripod is set up, attach your Xperia Z on the tripod lens.

Note :- In the absence of “Universal Holder” as mentioned above phone keeps on losing the grip on tripod stand and there is a chance of occurring any accidental damage to your Xperia Z.

So we won’t recommend it unless you have the universal holder with you to have a batter arrangement while taking photographs and reducing the chance of any damage to your phone.

Photo Results

We didn’t find any better photograph taken with the help of this 12x Zoom photolens as compared to normal digital zoom of our Xperia Z. Photos taken appeared blurred, not at all satisfied with the photo results as what product description suggests.

Pros

Can act as a substitute lens for taking some photos of distant objects.
Keeping a good focal length, nice snaps appears.

Cons

Not suitable for every user. Tricky arrangement may cause accidental damage.
Blurred images not clear if focal length is not adjusted properly.
Regular digital zoom of Xperia Z provided better pics.

How to Root Xperia Z, ZL, ZR on 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware by DooMLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit v18

Sony has now officially rolled out 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware for Xperia Z, ZL and ZR which brings display, camera, battery fixes & performance tweaks to these devices. Only for now Xperia Z Tablet is left and very soon it will also be updated with same 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware.

As you all know Sony has patched the perf_event exploit from 10.3.1.A.0.244 firmware onwards so in order to root the devices one need to use the older rootable firmware kernels as mentioned by legendary XDA Developer DooMLoRD.

How to Root Xperia Z, ZL, ZR on 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware

How to Root Xperia Z 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware – STEPS

Works on both Locked as well as UnLocked Bootloaders.

Enable USB Debugging and unknown sources option on your phone before proceeding. Do not use other kit version except V18.

Download Flashtool, Open it. Flash the “XperiaZ_C660X_KernelOnly_10.3.A.0.423_Generic_NL.f tf” file on your Xperia Z. It is the kernel of an old firmware of Xperia Z which was rootable.
Reboot your Xperia Z after flashing. Connect to PC in USB Debugging mode.
Do not forget to close FLASHTOOL. CLOSE FLASHTOOL , before proceeding next step or you will get serious error.
Extract the downloaded “DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit.zip” file and run the “runme_win” file.
Follow onscreen instructions to root Xperia Z and once it is rooted, device will reboot. Verify that you are rooted, run SuperSU app.
Now switch off your Xperia Z. OPEN FLASHTOOL.
Now you need to flash “XperiaZ_C660X_KernelOnly_10.3.1.A.2.67.ftf” file in order to get back the true kernel of Android 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware of Xperia Z.
After flashing, disconnect the phone from PC, reboot it and your Xperia Z is now rooted and we are done with Root Xperia Z Android 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware steps.

Xperia Z 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware Update Rolled Out – Minor Bug fixing

We reported back on 1st Sept, that 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware update will be coming on Xperia Z soon and here it comes. After Xperia ZR and Xperia ZL got an update with build number 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware, Xperia Z has also been hit with same 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware. Now only Xperia Tablet Z is left which will also be updated with same 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware very soon as mentioned by Sony Mobile’s tweet.

10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware keeps Xperia Z on Android 4.2.2 only and is simply a minor bug fixing update only being confirmed in Morocco only till now as per checked by an user from EMMA software. Available over PCC / SUS and Bridge. 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware is in seeding stage now, shortly all regions will receive it.

Xperia Z 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware currently confirmed hitting Xperia Z C6602 HSPA+ versions only. We have not seen any C6603 user stating that firmware update.

Xperia M 15.1.C.1.17 Firmware update rolled out – Fixed Reboot Issue and No Bluish tint in camera pics

A new 15.1.C.1.17 Firmware has been rolled for Xperia M on both versions of handset i.e. C1904/C1905 and fixes some of the major bugs as stated by Xperia M users. Previous updates on Xperia M were 15.1.A.1.9 firmware and 15.1.A.1.5 firmware ( out of box it came on firs batch of handset ).

15.1.C.1.17 Firmware is a major update and keeps Xperia M C1904/C1905 on android 4.1.2 only and is confirmed in India and Malaysia region and is still seeding, may roll out soon in other parts of world too.

15.1.C.1.17 Firmware is available over PC Companion as usual, connect your Xperia M to PC and check for 15.1.C.1.17 Firmware update notification as shown below.

First reboot after the update is normally slow, don’t panic it will be fine in next reboot.

Xperia ZL 10.3.1.A.2.67 Firmware Update Rolled Out – Minor Bugs fixed

In starting of September we posted that a new android 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.2.67 Firmware is in testing and soon it may come and yesterday Sony Mobile tweeted that a firmware is about to roll on whole Xperia Z family including Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z.

A few days back on Xperia ZR 10.3.1.A.2.67 Firmware update rolled out and seems a minor bug fixing update only. Just now we have spotted that Xperia ZL has also got the same 10.3.1.A.2.67 Firmware update.

10.3.1.A.2.67 Firmware update keeps Xperia ZL on Android 4.2.2 only and is confirmed rolling on C6506 ( LTE North America version ) and C6503 ( LTE Europe / Asia version ) of handset.

10.3.1.A.2.67 Firmware Update confirmed in USA, Germany, Ukraine, Singapore, Saudi Arabia , Philippines and available via PC Companion / SUS / Bridge.

Xperia Z1 Android 4.2.2 14.1.G.1.531 Firmware Update Rolled Out

Sony Xperia Z1 was released with initial 14.1.G.1.518 Firmware out of the box and a few days back we reported that 14.1.G.1.526 Firmware ftf was available for install and just now we have seen another 14.1.G.1.531 Firmware being rolling on Xperia Z1, can be considered as it’s first firmware update on Xperia Z1 officially.

This firmware is not certified by PTCRB yet. 14.1.G.1.531 Firmware keeps Xperia Z1 as it is on Android 4.2.2 and seems only a minor bug fixing update over previous firmware. 14.1.G.1.531 Firmware confirmed in India on Xperia Z1 C6902 HSPA+ version via PC Companion and soon will be available in other regions also.

14.1.G.1.531 Firmware update has also been rolled on Xperia Z1 LTE versions also, just confirmed. Connect your Xperia Z1 to PC Companion and look for 14.1.G.1.531 Firmware update notification, if you have got one then update your Xperia Z1 as per on screen instructions.

Xperia Z1 14.1.G.1.531 Firmware update changelog

14.1.G.1.531 Firmware update is only a minor bug fixing update only. RAM management has definitely been improved a lot in this new firmware update.

14.1.G.1.531 Firmware still has Camera issue after unlocking the bootloader without backing up TA partition, Camera functionality is lost.

Xperia Z1 Battery Test Results – 53 Hours Endurance Rating

Sony Xperia Z1, an insanely powerful smartphone from Sony features a whooping 2.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 Quad core processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 1080p full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution screen, 441 ppi density and X-Reality for Mobile. So what keeps this monster phone alive, its 3000mAh non removable battery sure. If we compare processor chipset and battery size Xperia Z Ultra ( 3050 mAh battery ) also has same configuration except it’s has a monster screen size of 6.4″ full HD.

Xperia Z1 battery test results have arrived and GsmArena test results prove Xperia Z1 results disappointing as when compared with Xperia Z Ultra. Xperia Z1 battery test results include 3G talktime, web browsing and video playback. Let’s have a look at the Xperia Z1 Battery Test Results from GsmArena.

Sony Xperia Z1 Battery Test Results

Xperia Z1 is at the top of leaderboard when talktime battery stats appeared. It beats LG G2 which also features a 3000mAh battery by around 2 hours and LG G2 maintained 25 hours of talktime. Huawei Ascend Mate which features 6.1″ screen and 4050 mAh battery is at the second position.

Phones’ screen is off during the 3G talktime test. While testing below mentioned 3 tests, Stamina Mode on Xperia Z1 was switched off.

Web Browsing is something which every mobile phone users performs in his handset and if a phone’s display can sustain for a longer period during web browsing it would be great. Sony Xperia Z1 doesn’t perform like a top contender here, Xperia Z1 Battery Test Web browsing results are normal only not at all impressive and even Xperia Z, ZL, SP, ZR beats it very well.

Xperia ZR features a 2350 mAh battery and has 4.55″ 720p HD screen. Xperia ZR has the best battery stats among any Xperia smartphone when web browsing results are compared; it’s display lasts for more than 11 hours so is the case with LG G2. In this result Both LG G2 and Xperia ZR wins the bout.

Video Playback another area where majority of phones’ battery dissipates. Xperia Z1’s triluminos display is an improvement over previous Xperia handsets but just like Xperia Z it has not performed very well in video playback result too.

Even Xperia Z Ultra gave an additional 3 hours of video playback as when compared to Xperia Z1’s stats.

Xperia Z1 didn’t perform that very well on video playback and web browsing tests but it’s standby endurance ratings are good somewhat. GsmArena’s testing shows their Xperia Z1 lasted for 53 hours if for one hour each i.e. 3G talktime, video playback and web browsing is performed a day. But for a heavy users who surf internet and watch video a lot, they need to plug-in their Xperia Z1 may be twice a day. ( or more than that )

Xperia Z1 Endurance Rating

As when compared to Xperia Z, talktime and endurance rating improved but if we see video playback and web browsing time, it has been lowered though.

To sum up Xperia Z1 got 53 hours endurance rating, 26:53 Hours 3G Talktime, 5:59 Hours Web Browsing and 6:12 Hours Video Playback.

What’s you take on above Xperia Z1 Battery Test Results, do you find them sufficient as when compared to other Xperia handsets. We don’t think above results are impressive for Xperia Z1 but you may get some different battery stats on your Xperia Z1 depending on various unstated factors.

Sony embedded it’s “Sony” logo on its shatter proof screen on Xperia Z and it did it again yes Xperia Z1 has it’s Sony Logo Embedded on Shatter Proof Screen Protector in fortunately.

What is Sony’s intention behind this is still unknown, atleast on their premium devices they can sport the “Sony” logo on the top itself rather than on screen protector.

Ooops Sony did it again and this time with mighty Xperia Z1, confused what we are talking about; well we are talking about Sony’s policy of embedded “Sony” logo on shatter proof screen protector. Just now we noticed in a video that Sony has again embedded it’s “Sony” logo on the shatter proof screen protector just like they did with Xperia Z also.

Xperia Z1 comes with a shatter proof screen applied on it and the top “Sony” logo near front cam is baked on itself. So if you by chance removed the stock shatter proof screen protector Sony Logo from top goes off.

In short Xperia Z1 is a master piece from Sony.

On the other hand Xperia Z, the predecessor of Xperia Z1 is the first smartphone of Xperia Z family. Xperia Z features 5″ Full HD 1080p screen display with 443 ppi density ( 2 points greater than Xperia Z1 ), having Mobile Bravia Engine 2 in display settings. Xperia Z has a wonderful screen if you ask me but many Xperia Z users criticized Xperia Z for its poor viewing angles. Xperia Z Ultra was the first phone from Sony with Triluminos Display and it has better viewing angles as when compared to Xperia Z.
