Aqua Green Xperia Z3+ Dual Hands on pics out of the box

Sony has officially launched Xperia Z3+ today and it will be soon available globally in June this year. Like Xperia Z3, Sony has launched a dual SIM Xperia Z3+ (Sony E6533) this time also. Both handsets are launched in white, black, copper and aqua green (icy green) color.

Xperia Z3+ Dual features Snapdragon 810 64 bit Octa core processor (2 GHz) with 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage (with micro SD card support). It features 20.7 MP camera 25mm wide-angle, 1 / 2.3 inch size sensor (ISO 12800). It features 5.1 MP front camera (25mm wide-angle). Xperia Z3+ Dual weighs 144 grams and is 6.9mm thin with 5.2″ FHD Display (1920 x 1080 resolution, no 2K) packed in an aluminum frame with glass back.

Earlier today Sony Mobile announced Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ Dual, a rebranded version of Xperia Z3 and a name changed variant of Xperia Z4 (which was recently launched in Japan). Sony has already mentioned that Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ Dual will be available globally in June 2015.

Sony Mobile has officially announced Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3+ Dual globally today and as a surprise the name of handset is not Xperia Z4 which was recently launched in Japan (though Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 features same design and specifications).

Xperia Z3+ features 2930 mAh battery (which is less as compared to Xperia Z3 & Xperia Z2). Xperia Z3+ comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box (5.0.2). Xperia Z3+ is IP65/68 certified (with capless USB port). In terms of design, Xperia Z3+ is a combination of Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 but slimmer, lighter, and powerful.

Xperia Z3 Dual 23.1.1.E.0.1 Android 5.0.2 Lollipop rolling

Sony has finally updated Xperia Z3 Dual on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop today in the form of 23.1.1.E.0.1 firmware build, rolling globally now. Earlier Sony rolled Android 5.0.2 23.1.A.0.690 firmware update on Xperia Z3 in mid-March. Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra has also got Android 5.0.2 14.5.A.0.242 firmware update today.

23.1.1.E.0.1 Lollipop firmware for Xperia Z3 Dual D6633 is confirmed in regions like Algeria, Brazil, Hong Kong, MENA Arabic, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, USA.

Xperia Z3 Dual 23.1.1.E.0.1 Lollipop firmware certified

Android Lollipop 5.0.2 23.1.1.E.0.1 firmware has been finally certified for Xperia Z3 Dual and now Xperia Z3 Dual D6633 users soon can expect it to roll soon. Earlier Sony has rolled Android 5.0.2 update on whole Xperia Z3 series in selected regions and now it is rolling globally and Xperia Z2 series users will get it next week.

Xperia Z3 Dual at present features Android 4.4.4 23.0.1.F.0.102 build in some regions while globally 23.0.1.F.0.96 firmware is available to users. No ETA is available for Lollipop rollout yet.

A few days back Sony teased Android Lollipop running on Xperia Z.

Sony has also promised Android Lollipop update for Xperia C3 and Xperia T2 Ultra users. Android Lollipop 19.3.A.0.468 firmware was certified for Xperia C3 yesterday.

It is to be seen whether Lollipop update for Xperia Z3 Dual users will be rolled for a few selected regions first or globally like Sony did with Xperia “Z3” and Xperia “Z2” series.

We will keep you updated once 23.1.1.E.0.1 firmware starts rolling for Xperia Z3 Dual users.

Xperia Z3 Dual 23.0.F.1.96 firmware update rolling

Recently certified 23.0.F.1.96 firmware for Xperia Z3 Dual on PTCRB is now rolling via Emma and soon to be available via PC Companion for all Xperia Z3 Dual users. 23.0.F.1.96 firmware is bug fixing Android 4.4.4 update.

Sony has also promised to roll Android 5.0 Lollipop update to Xperia Z3 ( Z3 Dual ) / Xperia Z2 in Feb 2015, hope it comes fast and user’s don’t have to wait too long now.
