Xperia Z1 14.5.A.0.242 Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update rolling

Sony has rolled Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update in the form of 14.5.A.0.242 firmware on Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra worldwide whereas Lollipop 23.1.1.E.0.1 firmware has been released for Xperia Z3 Dual variant globally just now, as mentioned by Sony officially.

Xperia Z1 14.5.A.0.242 Lollipop firmware update is now confirmed rolling in regions like Slovenia, Austria, Sweden, Hong Kong, MENA Arabic, MENA Latin, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, UAE for C6903. Update has not been reported for Xperia Z1 C6902 yet (neither in India).

My Sony Xperia Z1 Compact here in Germany just got the update notification. My Carrier is O2.

But I will reset my phone before I do the update via OTA.

C6902 is out! question, since xperiafirm fails to download this 1.2 GB file, instead of download, I clic on manual, and paste them in jdownloader, which works good. only problem is, instead of the _FILE files I get many differente files (I guess need to decrypt or something similiar) how do I process this files? in xperiafirm? or flashtool?

do u have a torrent file of it? my internet has been crappy all week so downloading a large file is impossible for me right now unless its a torrent. thanks

I’m from the Philippines, using sony z1 under a carrier. However, i havent gotten any updates yet ota. Shall i update my phone using pc companion instead? Has anybody tried this method?

  Hi, i’m from ph too. Usually it takes a lot of time(few more weeks ot event months) for the update to come up in pc companion or ota. I’ve downloaded the firmware(ftf) and used the flasthool and voila in 6 minutes i now have lollipop. No issues so far.

    I got the update message from Sony bridge for MAC (same as PC companion on windows) and just followed the instructions.

  Every ftf will work on Z1 till it is of Z1 model. Ftf should work, will there be any issues after flashing the ftf, I can’t tell.

i updated my xperia z1 using the ftf file via flash tool.i later on found that my sim card is not detected.Is there any way to rectify???iam from india
