Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update is now finally rolling on Xperia Tablet Z in the form of 10.6.A.0.454 build. Same build has also been spotted on Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR. Sony has now finally updated its 2-year-old Xperia “Z” series to Lollipop update.

10.6.A.0.454 firmware is confirmed rolling on Xperia Tablet Z SGP311 in Taiwan, on SGP321 in Hong Kong and on SGP351 in USA region (not spotted on SGP312 yet ).

Xperia Tablet Z Lollipop update is now rolling via both OTA as well as PC Companion/XperiaFirm. OTA update size is 710.2 MB.

    Hi!
    I’ve already update firmware – in my Xperia Tablet Z (SGP321) to Lollipop. I’ve had a problem updating with the Flashtool. When I update, as described above, Flashtool reported error and after all tablet will not start – it was in Bootloop mode.
    It helped to upload firmware once more – with unchecked UNKNOWN segment in in the “exclude”.
    After this tablet run almost normally – WI-FI did not work, but it work after all!!!.
    I’ve had to use PC Companion to fix the device – although removes all user data. I use the backup to restore my user data and settings.
    At the moment everything is OK. In addition to the new firmware – customization changed to “Customized HK”

    Jestem już po aktualizacji firmware w swoim Xperia Tablet Z (SGP321) do Lollipop. Miałem problem z aktualizacją przez program Flashtool. Polegał on na tym, że podczas aktualizacji Flashtool zgłaszał błąd i tablet się nie uruchamiał – był w trybie Bootloop.
    Pomogło wgranie firmware z odznaczoną opcją wgrania segmentu UNKNOWN w sekcji “exclude”.
    Po tym tablet się uruchamiał w miarę normalnie – nie działało WI-FI, ale w ogóle działał!!!. Musiałem, przy użyciu programu PC Companion, naprawić urządzenie usuwając przy tym dane użytkownika. Przy użyciu kopii zapasowej można było potem przywrócić ustawienia.
    Na tą chwilę wszystko jest OK. Oprócz firmware zmieniła się kustomizacja na “Customized HK”.
