Sony Mobile has finally started rolling Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for the older Xperia “Z” series. Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update in the form of 10.6.A.0.454 firmware build is now confirmed rolling on Xperia Z via OTA.

Android 5.0.2 Lollipop 10.6.A.0.454 firmware is not rolling via PC Companion or XperiFirm tool for the time being. 10.6.A.0.454 firmware is confirmed for Xperia Z in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, USA region (on C6602). Lollipop 10.6.A.0.454 firmware update is also confirmed rolling for Xperia ZR (in Hong Kong and South America region).

      yes you can flash, there won’t be any issues. Next time you will get update depending upon Taiwan region availability.

      Did you try flashing again? With full wipe of data ? Did you enable USB-Debugging and you do have XZ drivers installed on your PC. If done all then try another ftf.

      Yes, it worked for me 🙂 But the firmwares (mentioned above) will change your device model i.e, c6602.

    I saw that the update for c6602 went live in bangladesh, asia and taiwan. I think adia includes india.Is the update dependent on network service providers. Please clarify.

    Lollipop update is rolling out for xperia z in taiwan, bangladesh and some other asian countries. Will it depends on the network operator to release the update? I live in bangalore, india. Please clarify

      No it depends on Sony only to release the update. Updates hit different countries at different time. No ETA for arrival in India yet.
