Yesterday we saw Red Xperia M4 Aqua making headlines and now pics of White Xperia M4 Aqua has been leaked online before MWC 2015. It is now very clear that Sony will launch Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia Z4 Tablet at the MWC 2015, both water resistant devices.

The most interesting thing that came out is Xperia M4 Aqua will have water resistant USB port without any flap. Xperia M4 Aqua looks a lot similar to Xperia Z3 in design.

Red Xperia M4 Aqua, Xperia Z4 Tablet First Look pics leaked

Sony’s MWC 2015 press conference is scheduled on 2 March and when Sony is busy posting the teaser of their MWC event and the devices to be launched, we are seeing leaks coming regarding Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia Z4 Tablet coming frequently now.

Earlier today a red Xperia M4 Aqua and a black Xperia Z4 Tablet was snapped which confirms the existence of both devices and that they will be launched at MWC 2015 event for sure.

Xperia M4 Aqua

Xperia M4 Aqua looks very similar to Xperia Z3 from back and front. You can see the new Wi-Fi, Signal icon on the status bar, new navigation keys, material design Sony Sketch app and flat Sony message and call app icons all from Sony’s Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware.

Xperia M4 Aqua is expected to feature 5.2″ 720p HD display, 2 GB RAM, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front cam, S610 processor SoC, 16 GB ROM.

Xperia Z4 Tablet looks very similar to Xperia Z2 Tablet. Both white and black model of Xperia Z4 Tablet have already been seen in pics now. Below you can see Xperia Z4 Tablet is running Android 5.0 Lollipop. It seems Sony has changed the name of Movies app to Video now.

“Get ready to make a splash” – Sony’s 2nd teaser for MWC 2015 out

Sony Mobile has just tweeted the second teaser for upcoming MWC 2015 event with tagline “Get ready to make a splash” just after a day when they first teased Xperia Z4 Tablet with caption “Slimmer. Lighter. Brighter“. “All will be revealed on 02.03.15.”

Sony posted a screenshot (possibly the homescreen) from the device (possibly to be launched at MWC 2015) with clock ticking at usual 10:35, splashed with water.

As per the leaks seen till today it seems Sony will definitely launch Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia Z4 Tablet at MWC, both having IP68 water resistance certification.

Sony has official mentioned Android 5.0 Lollipop as next Android update for entire Xperia “Z” series today, just on the very last day of Feb. Earlier Sony mentioned that they will be rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 in Feb but it hasn’t been rolled yet.

Sony will unveil Xperia M4 Aqua at MWC 2015

Earlier today we saw that Sony is planning to launch Xperia Z4 Tablet at MWC 2015 and now it seems we will also see Xperia M4 Aqua at the same event. Xperia M4 Aqua will succeed Xperia M2 Aqua and it will be IP65/68 certified as the name “Aqua” suggests.

A set of leaked document shows that Xperia M4 will be running Android 5.0.x Lollipop 26.1.A.0.xxx firmware and Xperia Z4 Tablet will be running Android 5.0.x Lollipop 28.0.A.0.xxx firmware.

Exact specifications of Xperia M4 Aqua are unknown at the time but it seems it will sport a 5″ 720p HD display with Snapdragon 410 processor, 1 GB RAM and 2300 mAh battery.

Xperia Z4 Tablet was recently spotted in Sony Xperia Lounge app unintentionally though ahead of MWC 2015 and was quickly pulled off from the listing. It says Sony is introducing Xperia Z4 Tablet with stunning 2K display combined with the latest ultra fast processor and industry leading battery performance.

Xperia Lounge app screenshots shows the date as 3 March 2015 which means Sony may launch Xperia Z4 Tablet at MWC 2015, possibly on 2 March itself. Not much details about the other specifications of Xperia Z4 Tablet is known yet but it seems that Sony may use Snapdragon 810 processor SoC.

Surprisingly Sony has launched a 4G LTE variant of Xperia E4 in form of Xperia E4g and Xperia E4g Dual SIM with 4G LTE network enabled, NFC connectivity option and 1.5 GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor (Xperia E4 has 1.3 GHz quad core processor). It features 4.7″ qHD IPS display 540 x 960 resolution.

Sony mentioned Xperia E4g price to be €129/$145 and will be available in April this year officially. It features 5 MP rear camera, 2 MP front cam, 8 GB internal storage ( No microSD card slot ) with 1 GB RAM and a 2300 mAh battery ( embedded ).

Install CynogenMod 12 bootanimation on Xperia devices

Looking for a custom bootanimation for your Xperia device, well if yes, you might want to try this CynogenMod 12 bootanimation on your Xperia devices ( for mdpi and hdpi screens only ).

You need rooted Xperia handset or with custom recovery installed running Android 4.2+ to install this bootanimation. Do not forget to backup your original stock bootanimation before installing this, in case you want to go back later on.

Xperia Z4 Dual Android 5.0.2 Lollipop running screenshots leaked

Up in the silent making noise first look of hopefully Sony’s new Android 5.0 Lollipop UI has been allegedly leaked in the screenshots supposedly from Xperia Z4 Dual. All the screenshots are taken from Dual SIM variant of Xperia Z4.

About phone screenshot of Xperia Z4 Dual shows it is running on Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 SoC, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop version, 3.10 Kernel version and firmware build starting from 28.X.

Wireless & Networks settings shows Dual SIM settings and almost similar icons as present in KitKat firmware but with a whiter UI as expected. Navigation keys present in the screenshot we have seen earlier also many times.

Xperia E4 was recently launched along with its dual SIM variant. Xperia E4 features 5″ qHD IPS display 540 x 960 resolution packed in a 137 x 75 x 10.5 mm frame, powered by MediaTek MT6582 chipset 1.3 GHz quad core, Mali-400MP2 GPU with Android 5.0 Lollipop coming out of the box.

Xperia E4 features 5 MP rear camera, 2 MP front cam, 8 GB internal storage ( No microSD card slot ) with 1 GB RAM and a 2300 mAh battery ( embedded ). Xperia M2 Dual D2302 is getting a new 18.3.1.B.1.8 firmware update globally now, which was released earlier to selective regions only. This Android 4.4.4 KitKat update is confirmed in regions like Algeria, India etc.

No major visible changes noticed except new Xperia Notes app was seen in some regions. Users are confirming better performance and battery life. 18.3.1.B.1.8 firmware is available via PC Companion only and you need a computer to update it, no OTA seen yet.

Sony has updated its Walkman app to newer version 8.5.A.2.10 from older 8.5.A.2.8 version. At present Sony Walkman is the only app among Sony media apps which has full material design UI. Yesterday Sony updated its Movies app to 8.0.A.0.8 version which brought material design icon to the app instead of UI.

Sony has launched a 64 GB microSDXC card (Class 10) “SR-64HXA” with a tagline “for premium sound”, pricing it insanely at 18500 Yen/$155. A few days ago Sony also launched “NW-ZX2” Walkman for $1200 and by seeing the price it seems this micro SD card is made for NW-ZX2 and other Hi-Res audio users.

Sony says SR-64HXA card delivers the best sound quality with minimum noise when it is being read. It is expected to hit Japanese market around 5 March, globally availability is not known yet.

Sony SmartWatch 3 users are now reporting new Android 5.0.2 update in form of LWX49K build over previous Android 5.0.1 LWX84P build. It seems only a minor update, confirmed in regions like Malaysia, France, USA, Mexico.
