A few days back Sony acknowledged the issues on original android 4.4.2 KitKat 14.3.A.0.681 firmware rolled for Xperia Z1, Z Ultra, Z1 Compact like sound coming from hearing speaker instead from external speaker, heating issues, battery drain and promised to being a firmware update to fix those issues, it seems now 14.3.A.0.757 firmware update is rolling as new KitKat bug fixing update for above mentioned handsets.
14.3.A.0.757 firmware is a bug fixing update over 14.3.A.0.681 firmware which keeps Xperia Z1, Z Ultra, Z1 Compact on android 4.4.2 only. 14.3.A.0.757 firmware is confirmed on Xperia Z1 C6902, C6903 in regions India, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden. 14.3.A.0.757 firmware is available over PC Companion and SUS, no OTA seen yet. It is a huge 1023.5 MB update if updated via PC Companion or SUS.

Can anybody CONFIRM that those who had the sound issue earlier DON’T have it any longer with this new fix? I read somewhere that people are still experiencing sound cracking/ distortion for notifications.
Heating and battery draining… Solved?
The heating and draining issue concerning the initial 4.4.2 update was gone after one day and a couple of reboots. This rom does not have these issues. And as mentioned above works like a charm. Only strange thing is the fact that i cannot change the lockscreen background, anybody nows how to fix this?
Update is huge. There should be pause and resume option. I want speaker problem solved and i also want Kitkat to allow third party apps to edit external sd card. Whatever I’m still downloading its been an hour now
It shud ideally take you about 2.5 – 3 hrs on an average connection, don’t worry 🙂 the download is close to a 1GB.
This is really annoying me, here in the UK we are still on jelly beans and not kitkat :@
Guys I just updated my phone and I’m into the first hour of phone usage. Its looking bright and sunny this side. In brief I can confirm that: 1) The sound bug definitely seems to have gone. 2) faster/ better working camera including the auto-focus 3) smooth UI experience without any lags 4) lesser RAM usage. On the downside what I did briefly already notice is that sometimes the notification ringtone does sound distorted/ playing slow and cracked. But it was just once or twice that this happened, never after that. More detailed report later.
PS: I don’t feel that the phone’s heating up either so nothing to worry about there too so far!
If anybody know when the update will come to Malaysia? hope the update can come fast because it is too disappointed when your mobile has an issue like sound and lag on camera usage.. 🙁
Is this version restricting sdcard also? I just found that I can’t write files into my sdcard through any third party app after I upgraded the firmware to kitkat 4.4.2. I couldn’t find any solution for this as my phone is not rooted. I’m wondering whether this latest firmware can solve my problem…
sony solve sound problem, but now we have camera problem it is laggiest than before and picture are not clear.

Mine seems to be working fine. Sorry to hear about that. Maybe do a clean re install? The only problem I have noticed so far is the occasional distortion in ringtones.. a little cracking I mean. Apart from that the update seems to be great for me.

As you can read from the topic, I am searching for a firmware build for my Sony Xperia Z1, which will have these options:
1. NFC logo at the status bar, when turned on;
2. Cost Savings function in messages app;
3. Full Sony Entertainment Network integration (Movies, Music, Album, Play Memories).
I tried many installs, but with no look. Sometimes I get Cost Savings, sometimes i get NFC logo, but not all of them in one place. If someone is using the build, which has all these options mentioned above, please share your Customization number, or even a link with a ftf. I will smash the Thanks button for you!

My Xperia Z1 has problem of Speaker Its Volume is very low We can’t hear it…only if you get it to your ears you can hear it and.even my.earpiece is louder than it ..it’s been 2 weeks when i’ve washed my phone or say dipped in water and..it’s not working..till..now please..Help What..to do..Now…!!
I’ve updated for a little while now but I’m having major issues with my camera! Whenever I try to take a PIC or vid it just freezes completely ! I have to turn the screen off then on and then just exit the app altogether. Anyone else have the same problem with this update ?

@Kam, im also experiencing the same problem with the camera and im also just doing the same, lock the screen and then go back to the home screen. Sony please fix. Images are noisy and the camera is one of the main reason I bought this phone!�
With version .757, camera app starts to crash and freeze..Also notification sound is distorted..
Camera problem is huge, Sony must fix it as soon as possible..
I don’t know why all shown image and description as like sony Z1 C6902 but the link that you let us to download just only C6903. How can I do?
