Xperia XA1 (Sony G3112/G3116) is now available in Hong Kong market for HKD 2498 ($321) in 4 colors viz. Black, White, Gold and Pink. Sony’s mid range smartphone Xperia XA1 is powered by MediaTek Helio P20 Octa Core 64bit processor with 3 GB RAM and has edge-to-edge HD (720p) 5” screen display.

Xperia XA1 has 8MP front camera with 1/4″ Exmor R mobile image sensor and 23MP back camera with  1/2.3” Exmor RS for mobile image sensor, Hybrid Autofocus,  Low-light photo: ISO6400 and 24mm wide-angle F2.0 lens along with 8MP front camera.

Sony India today launched Xperia XZs in India at a heavy price tag of Rs.49990 ($770), those who are looking to buy it can pre-book here. Xperia XA1 is also expected to hit Indian market soon, as Sony India has already listed it on their website.

Sony Mobile has launched Xperia XZs in India today for Rs.49990 ($770) at a tech briefing session in New Delhi. It will be available for pre-order from 4th April- 10th April from offline exclusive Sony Xperia stores and from Flipkart.

Xperia XZs will be available in Matte Black, Ice Blue and Warm Silver color. Inside the box you get 1 Xperia XZs unit, instrcutions manual, quick charger UCH12, Type-C Cable, MH-750 earphones.

Xperia XZs has 19MP Motion Eye Camera 1/2.3” Exmor RS for mobile memory stacked sensor (also seen in Xperia XZ Premium) with 5.2″ 1080p full HD display. Xperia XZs features same Snapdragon 820 chipset like Xperia XZ last year featuring ALKALEIDO metal back and loop surface design.

Xperia Keyboard 8.0.A.0.80 app update brings improved gesture input in Stamina mode

Sony Xperia Keyboard app has got a new 8.0.A.0.80 version update over the older 8.0.A.0.50 version. New updtae brings solution to following issues: taps were sometimes misinterpreted as gesture input when in Stamina mode and reopening a word could result in showing the wrong default prediction candidate.

You need minimum Android 4.4+ running on your device to install the Xperia Keyboard app. Sony Mobile now provides various pre-installed keyboard themes also.

Xperia X Concept 38.3.1.A.0.91 firmware update rolled – Brings New SONY Audio Effects Engine for MusicFX app

Sony Mobile has released another concept N4F26T15 build 38.3.1.A.0.91 firmware (over earlier 38.3.1.A.0.74 version) for Xperia X experimental track which brings brings new SONY Audio Effects Engine for MusicFX app.

The battery percentage moved to beside the battery symbol for better readability and VoLTE in Telenor Norway, Hutch (3), Danmard/Sweden and VoWiFi in Germany (Vodfone, O2 and Telekom) was added in some new operatore configuartions, as per Sony’s official changelog.

You can now activate battery percentage in the status bar (activate in SystemUI Tuner).

Now MusicFX (Equalizer/BassBoost) app uses SONY’s Audio Effects Engine.

Xperia X Concept 38.3.1.A.0.91 firmware update also brings solution for Bluetooth restart problem and graphical bug with camera app shortcuts is fixed.

Sony sends press invite for Xperia XZs launch event in India on April 3rd, 2017

Sony Xperia XZs is about to be launched in India on April 3rd, 2017 as per the invite sent by the Sony India. Sony’s Tech Briefing Session will take place at New Delhi, India.

Xperia XZs Panorama App

To install Xperia XZs Panorama App you need rooted Xperia device with Android Nougat running and custom recovery installed (Deodexed Firmware also). Tested on Xperia Z5 running Android 7.0 Nougat.

Flashing Instructions:

Flash the zip file mentioned below with TWRP.

Note: Kindly backup your old Xperia Panorama App file as flashing will remove the old file.

Install Xperia XZs Camera App – Record Slow Motion Videos with one click

Yesterday we shared Xperia XZs System Dump from 41.2.A.0.191  firmware and now various Xperia XZs apps have already been ported. We have already shared Xperia XZs Xperia Loops Themes, Xperia Loops Live Wallpapers and Xperia Clock Widget.

Xperia XZs has 19MP Motion Eye Camera 1/2.3” Exmor RS for mobile memory stacked sensor and allows shooting 960 fps super slow motion videos.

Xperia XZs Camera App

Xperia XZs Camera App (SemcCameraUI) is now available for download for Xperia devices running Android Nougat only. You need rooted Xperia device with custom recovery installed (it doesn’t work on Odexed firmware, as mentioned by some testers). Below posted Xperia XZs camera app is tested running on Xperia Z5 running Android 7.0.

For the time being you can’t record videos at 960 fps super slow motion (requires Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs). Slow motion recording only available at 120 fps.

What’s New in Xperia XZs Camera App

Record Slow Motion Videos with one click (requires Timeshift Video and Video Editor). Timeshift Video will be hidden from Camera add on menu.

Flashing Instructions:

Note: Kindly backup your old Xperia Camera App, beacuse flashing this one will remove your old Xperia Camera App.

Sony Album 8.1.A.0.24 App with Photo editor 7.1.A.0.4 version available

Sony recently rolled Album app 8.2.A.0.4 beta update after 3 months which was only bugs fixing update and now Album app 8.1.A.0.24 version from latest Xperia XZs System Dump is available for download.

It is an update over older stable Album 8.0.A.1.18 app version. You need Android Nougat running on your Xperia device to install the app. Photo editor 7.1.A.0.4 app is an update over older Photo editor 7.0.A.0.5 app.

Sony Sketch 7.8.A.0.1 App update brings Improved search for users and tags

Sony Sketch app has got a new big update in the form of 7.8.A.0.1 version over the older 7.7.A.0.3 version after 3 months. Update brings improved search for users and tags.

App now gives Hashtag suggestions when typing and Collaborations available in the Community. More than 20 editing tools are available in the app.
