Google has just released the first developer preview of next version of Android OS i.e. Android O. You will see more developer preview versions of Android O coming over next few months till Google I/O May 2017.

Android O introduces number of new features like Background Limits (automatic limits on what apps can do in background), Notification Channels (new app-defined categories for notification content), Autofill APIs, PIP (Picture in Picture) for handsets and new windowing features, Font resources in XML, Adaptive icons, etc.

For the time being there is only 1 Android O Wallpaper in the developer preview images, 2880 × 2560 px resolution.

Other features of Android O includes Wide-gamut color for apps, Connectivity (Android O now also supports high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs such as LDAC codec), Keyboard navigation, AAudio API for Pro Audio, WebView enhancements, Java 8 Language APIs and runtime optimizations, Partner platform contributions.

Google has released the Android O preview system images for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel, Pixel XL and Pixel C devices. Downloads and Flashing instructions are here. Android Beta is currently not available for Android O.
