Xperia XZ SOV34 39.2.C.0.239 firmware update brings April Android Security Patch

KDDI in Japan has rolled a new 39.2.C.0.239 firmware update for Xperia XZ SOV34 which brings latest April Android Security Patch to the device, improving the security level.

Xperia XZ SOV34 39.2.C.0.239 firmware update size is approximately 190 MB (available as OTA) as mentioned officially on the website. Recommended method for updating is over Wi-Fi.

After updating your device you can confirm 39.2.C.0.239 firmware by going to  “main menu” → “setting” → “terminal information”.

It got Android 7.0 update in January, updating it to build number 39.2.C.0.203 firmware.

VIDEO – Nexus 6P Swipe down on fingerprint sensor to check notifications feature in action from Android 7.1.2 update

Google just released Factory images and OTA files for Android 7.1.2 update for Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL (N2G47E, N2G47J), Pixel C (N2G47D), Nexus 6P (N2G47H), Nexus 5X (N2G47F), and Nexus Player (N2G47H).

With the N2G47H Build Update on Nexus 6P Google has enabled option for “Nexus 6P – Swipe down on fingerprint sensor to check notifications” under “moves” which will allow users to see notifications by swiping down on the fingerprint sensor on the back of your Nexus 6P.

Go to settings>Movies> Tap to enable “swipe for notifications” option.

Enabling this option will let you check the notification panel or close it just by swiping over the fingerprint sensor on the back of your phone.

Nexus 6P Android 7.1.2 N2G47H Build Update rolling – OTA Files and Factory Images available for manual flashing

Nexus 6P Android 7.1.2 N2G47H Build Update is now rolling for users with April Security Patch worldwide over previous N4F26T build. Android 7.1.2 N2G47H Build Update is available as OTA, update size 323.0 MB; confirmed rolling in India.

Android 7.1.2 update is also live for Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL (N2G47E, N2G47J), Pixel C (N2G47D), Nexus 6P (N2G47H), Nexus 5X (N2G47F), and Nexus Player (N2G47H). Google has already posted factory images and OTA files for Android 7.1.2 update.

To update your Nexus 6P on latest Android 7.1.2 N2G47H Build Update, check the OTA update notification if you have got or go to “settings > about phone > system update > check for new update”.

If you haven’t got the N2G47H Build Update notification then you can manually update your Nexus 6P by flashing factory images or OTA file.
