Xperia T3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat 18.1.A.2.25 firmware update rolling

Surprisingly Sony has rolled Android 4.4.4 KiKtat 18.1.A.2.25 firmware update for Xperia T3 today. Update is confirmed in regions like India, Russia on both LTE and HSPA+ model.

18.1.A.2.25 firmware update brings no major changes in firmware for Xperia T3 ( now new features are seen ) except the Bluetooth Unlock feature and a more stable ROM now whereas on Android 4.4.4 update on Xperia Z2 Sony gave almost a similar UI like Xperia Z3.

Sony Xperia Z4 Music leaked with specifications – Hi-Res Walkman Portable Music smartphone

Sony introduced its latest Walkman flagship NW-ZX2 ( priced at whooping $1200 ) at CES 2015 and now a Hi-Res Walkman Portable Music smartphone “Sony Xperia Z4 Music” has been leaked with pic and full specifications.

Sony NW-ZX2 seems to be very much overpriced and Sony Xperia Z4 Music looks a very good replacement for it as it can be used as a smartphone also alternatively. We are not sure fully whether it is a real deal but it seems a great device in terms of specifications, check it out below.

Sony has finally launched a stainless steel edition of Sony SmartWatch 3 at CES 2015 which will be available for purchase in February. Sony says stainless steel gives you “timeless aestheticism for a premium look and feel”. SmartWatch 3 has 1.6” 320×320 TFT LCD Transflective display, IP 68 certified.

Sony also introduced SmartWatch 3 holder enabling users to try any 24mm watch strap with their SmartWatch 3, availability date unknown for the time being.

Sony NW-ZX2 Walkman launched at CES 2015 – First Look

Sony introduced its latest Walkman flagship NW-ZX2 over previous flagship model Sony ZX1 Walkman at CES 2015 earlier today. Sony ZX2 Walkman is expected to hit market at whooping price of $1200 ( approx. ).

It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS allowing you to download apps from Google Play Store. It has gold colored headphone jack, 128 GB of internal storage with micro SD card slot and claiming 60 hours of music playback. Bluetooth and NFC connectivity is available for pairing and wireless streaming. It support audio formats like DSD, AIFF, FLAC, WAV, Apple Lossless etc.

Android 5.0 Lollipop coming in February 2015 on Xperia “Z” series, Sony COO, Michael Fasulo confirms

Sony confirmed that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be coming to Xperia “Z” series starting from next month February 2015 at CES 2015, by COO Michael Fasulo. Earlier Sony confirmed that update will be coming starting from early 2015 Jan.

Later today Sony Mobile tweeted confirming the same on their official Twitter page. The entire Xperia “Z” series will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Exact version of update is still unknown ( whether it will be Android 5.0.1 or not ).

Sony MDR-EX31BN Noise Cancelling Bluetooth stereo earphones launched in India

Sony launched today MDR-EX31BN Noise Cancelling Bluetooth stereo earphones in India for Rs 5490/$88 in red and black colors. Sony MDR-EX31BN earphones are only compatible fully working with Digit Noise Cancelling enabled Xperia smartphones ( Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3 ), otherwise they will only work as normal earphones without DNC.

It uses Bluetooth or NFC for pairing it with your device. It has 13.5 mm sound driver unit and comes with micro USB charging port, once changed fully allowing usage of more than 10 hours. It allows you to receive and end calls.

Try out Clean Xperia Boot animation for XXHDPI, XHDPI, HDPI Xperia devices

It is the first post of New Year 2015 on GizmoBolt, have a prosperous New Year to all readers. Sony introduced a new boot animation on KitKat update which is completely different from the one on jelly bean. If you are looking to try any other boot animation then check out this Clean Xperia Boot animation. It will work only on rooted Xperia devices running android 4.3+.

Download the required boot animation zip file from below and copy it in system/media folder, replacing the old file, set permissions as rw- r– r– and reboot. Do not forget to take a back up of your current boot animation file.
