Stainless steel edition of Sony SmartWatch 3 launched at CES 2015

Sony has finally launched a stainless steel edition of Sony SmartWatch 3 at CES 2015 which will be available for purchase in February. Sony says stainless steel gives you “timeless aestheticism for a premium look and feel”. SmartWatch 3 has 1.6” 320×320 TFT LCD Transflective display, IP 68 certified.

Sony also introduced SmartWatch 3 holder enabling users to try any 24mm watch strap with their SmartWatch 3, availability date unknown for the time being.

Sony NW-ZX2 Walkman launched at CES 2015 – First Look

Sony introduced its latest Walkman flagship NW-ZX2 over previous flagship model Sony ZX1 Walkman at CES 2015 earlier today. Sony ZX2 Walkman is expected to hit market at whooping price of $1200 ( approx. ).

It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS allowing you to download apps from Google Play Store. It has gold colored headphone jack, 128 GB of internal storage with micro SD card slot and claiming 60 hours of music playback. Bluetooth and NFC connectivity is available for pairing and wireless streaming. It support audio formats like DSD, AIFF, FLAC, WAV, Apple Lossless etc.

Android 5.0 Lollipop coming in February 2015 on Xperia “Z” series, Sony COO, Michael Fasulo confirms

Sony confirmed that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be coming to Xperia “Z” series starting from next month February 2015 at CES 2015, by COO Michael Fasulo. Earlier Sony confirmed that update will be coming starting from early 2015 Jan.

Later today Sony Mobile tweeted confirming the same on their official Twitter page. The entire Xperia “Z” series will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Exact version of update is still unknown ( whether it will be Android 5.0.1 or not ).

CES 2015 is scheduled from Jan 6-9 2015 at Las Vegas and Sony will be holding its press conference on Jan 5, 2015 at 5-5.45 PM PST ( 6.30 AM India, 6 Jan & 01.00 AM UK, 6 Jan) at LVCC, South Hall, Booth #14200. Last year at CES 2014 Sony unveiled Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z1s T-Mobile variant of Xperia Z1 for US users.

New Xperia Z4 series can be speculated to be unveiled at CES 2015 from Sony. Today only rumored specifications of Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4 Compact, Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia Z4 Ultra were floating around the net and now we can expect any of them to come live hopefully.
