Sony IFA 2014 Press Event on 3 September, Berlin from 16:15 to 17:00 CEST

IFA 2014 Berlin event is about to mark it appearance after a few months in September and Sony is all set for a Press Event on 3 September, Berlin from 16:15 to 17:00 CEST. Seeing Sony’s record at IFA, we are expecting a new flagship model in form of Sony Xperia Z3 ( following the latest streak of leaks ).

Xperia Z3 Compact re-designed pics leaked, to feature 4.6-inch 1080p display

We have seen clear pics of Xperia Z3 so far with an idea of its to be specifications but no very clear pics of Xperia Z3 Compact has been leaked so far besides some blurry pics. Today some pics of re-designed Xperia phone leaked which is assumed as Xperia Z3 Compact. It is quite different in design as compared to earlier leaked pics.

What we observed is that front facing camera and rear LED flash are at different locations as seen in previous leaks. We may be looking at two different variants of Xperia Z3 Compact or is it a completely new Xperia device.

It is believed to feature 4.6″ 1080p FHD display i.e. whooping 478 ppi, Snapdragon 801 processor chipset, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB Memory, 20.7 MP rear cam with Sony “G” Lens.

Sony has certified Android 4.4.2 KitKat build for Xperia E1 D2004 and D2005 in form of 20.1.A.0.45 firmware just after a few days 20.1.B.0.60 firmware was certified for Xperia E1 Dual as KitKat on PTCRb website. Sony promised just after the launch of Xperia E1, M2 and T2 Ultra that these devices will surely be getting KitKat.

We are expecting the Android 4.4.2 build as the same hit Xperia T2 Ultra and Dual variant. A new app to sd feature was spotted in Xperia T2 Ultra KitKat update, we may see this feature for Xperia E1 KitKat update also.

Xperia Z2 Ultra Concept phone design

A lot ago we heard Xperia Z2 Ultra rumors, successor to Xperia Z Ultra well now it seems Sony has no plan to launch any such device for the time being. Designer Victor Cao has made a Xperia Z2 Ultra Concept phone design which looks very similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One M7.

Designer has given an add-on Sony pen like Samsung “S” pen to Xperia Z2 Ultra Concept phone with speaker positions like Xperia T3 and C3. Back of Xperia Z2 Ultra Concept phone looks like HTC One M7 design with a bar separating the camera panel from other body.

As promised by Sony, Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware has been certified for Xperia E1 Dual D2104 and D2105 in form of 20.1.B.0.60 firmware and 20.1.B.0.61 firmware for Xperia E1 Dual D2114. Recent android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade on Xperia T2 Ultra unexpectedly brought app to sd feature and hopefully same will be seen this time.

We are expecting android 4.4.2 to hit Xperia E1 Dual rather than Android 4.4.4 update. Android 4.4.4 is only present on Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra so far.

Xperia Z3 Back Panel pic and Side profile with big Camera shutter key Leaked by @evleaks

Yesterday @evleaks leaked all specifications of Xperia Z3 D6653 as featuring 5.15″ 1080p FHD display with S801 2.4 GHz quad core processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, 20.7 MP rear cam and 2.1 MP front cam which are the exact specifications like Xperia Z2 except a higher MSM 8974 AC chipset for Snapdragon 801.

Just now two sets of images displaying a black Xperia Z3 back panel and side profile have been leaked by @evleaks which clearly shows the back panel of Xperia Z3 ( exactly similar to back panel of Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z1 ). While looking at side profile of Xperia Z3, a bigger external camera shutter key is spotted with bigger power key. Volume rocker keys have been made more flat, SIM card slot is also visible with more rounded design.

We have seen so many image renders of Xperia Z3 D6653 till now but for the first time solid Xperia Z3 specifications leak surfaced, courtesy of prolific leakster @evleaks. @evleaks says Xperia Z3 will feature a strange 5.15″ 1080p FHD Display with Triluminos Mobile and Android 4.4.4 out of the box.

It is also confirmed that Xperia Z3 D6653 will have Snapdragon 801 2.4 GHz Quad Core processor ( most probably MSM8974-AC Chipset ) with Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage. Xperia Z3 D6653 will feature regular Sony 20.7 MP rear cam with Sony G Lens and 2.1 MP front cam.

By looking at Xperia Z3 leaked specifications we are wondering what is the difference in Xperia Z3 as compared to Xperia Z2. Is this the innovation ?

Google Play Store 4.9.13 version brings Material Design UI

Google made the announcement on Twitter today that Play Store to newer version 4.9.13 which brings material design UI to app, books, music, games, news section. Material Design UI was spotted on Play Store at Google I/O 2014 event and now it seems getting a update on Google Nexus devices. We have got new Google Play Store 4.9.13 version on our Xperia Z1 also.

Play Store 4.9.13 version although is not a major update but brings Material design touch in app listing pages. Description of apps are available in new window now with more flat UI. Games listing shows video trailer at top of screen rather in image gallery section.

HTC Sense Input Keyboard is now available at Play Store for download. Default keyboard of Google and Sony are already available on Play Store and now HTC steps into same shoes. HTC One, HTC One M8 and new HTC Desire series can now download the updated version of HTC Sense Input Keyboard.

HTC Sense Input Keyboard update is a minor update although which brings Google extract view in landscape mode. User are reporting getting the update on their devices.
