1 – Connect you phone to PC, open PC Companion, you will a update notification saying “A Phone / Tablet software update available (6.2.B.0.200). 2 – Click on option “Update” and proceed further. Check below image.

Video capturing in 1080p is lagging very badly 🙁 The video capturing frame is not steady at all. Auto-focus is very bad in video capturing. Frame rate reduced to 18frames /second. Battery DRAIN is very severe on my Xperia SL LT26ii. Very bad it is actually.

I also got the Error 927 in Google Play when I was updating any app via connecting Wi-Fi and mobile data. Also tried downloading the internet and MMS settings for the phone but unable to do so. After re-updating the software 3 times via SUS I found no improvement in the connectivity issues. What did I do ? I repaired my Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 firmware again on Xperia SL LT26ii (India region) again by PC Companion. And it has solved my problem. Now my Xperia SL Connects very smoothly with the Wi-Fi and mobile data. Though the mobile data speed is a bit slow in both 2G and 3G mode, it may be due to any firmware bug. Lag in 1080p video capturing has also been resolved to greater extent but it is there still 🙁 Try repairing you Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 firmware on your phone via PC Companion and see if the issue is still there if you still see the issue do let us know.

It’s a contradictory statement from Sony now, as yesterday Sony Xperia France tweeted yesterday that Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Xperia S LT26i is rolling out and the final build be ready till the last week of month of May.

Sony Brazil says Xperia S, P, J, E Dual Jelly Bean coming in June

Yesterday we posted a news regarding PTCRB listing another Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update firmware build number 11.2.A.0.31 for Xperia J ST26i and now Sony Xperia Brazil says that android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will be coming for all phones Xperia S, P, J and E dual.

As Xperia J, P have already got android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update globally so now it can be a new firmware build number for it.

They have also said about android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Xperia E Dual, that it is being tested and is guaranteed that it will come soon may be in first half of June.

Meanwhile Xperia S users are now amazed to see two different statements from two different Sony accounts. Meanwhile it is being speculated that android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Xperia S will come in the next week of May, hopefully it comes 😛 May be Xperia SL and Acro S gets the same update with Xperia S. Well in case your phone shows no notification of the official updates after connecting to PC Companion or Sony Update Service (SUS) then you always flash the original firmware’s ftf file on your phone via Xperia Flash Tool. How to Flash ftf file manually on Xperia Phones ?

Download the “ftf file” of your Xperia device which is must needed in any case.

There may be some more phones supported, do check in the supported phone list in the Flash Tool, if your device is not there, add it manually 😛

Download the Flash tool on your PC and install it. Let’s say you have installed it on folder named “C:\Flashtool”. Open the folder and find the folder named “drivers”, look for program “Flashtool-drivers” as you can find below.

Now run the program “Flashtool-drivers” as Admin. As soon as it opens, check under option “”Select components to install” and find the phone for which you want to flash the ftf file. Suppose you want to flash files for Xperia P, then we will tick mark the option “Xperia P, U and Sola Drivers”, “Flashmode drivers” and “Fastboot drivers” to install the concerned drivers of the phone. Click the “install” button and wait till drivers are installed on your PC. Check image screenshot below.

Now as soon drivers installation is finished. On your PC, navigate back to “C:\Flashtool” and in the folder named “firmwares”, please paste the downloaded ftf file for your concerned phone firmware.
Open “FlashTool.exe” file from folder “C:\Flashtool”. As soon as you open it, check written “Device disconnected at the end” in dialog box. Check image.

Switch off your phone,wait for 30 seconds, now connect your USB cable of phone to PC and the other end on your phone’s USB port. While inserting USB cable in your phone’s port, hold “Volume Down” button and then insert cable. You will see green light in notification LED which means your phone has been connected successfully in flashmode. See below, you will find “Device connected in flashmode” written in the Flash tool window.

“Notice the Black Lightning icon in the top left corner”, Click on it, as soon as you click, it will as k you to choose from two options listed. Choose option “flashmode”. See below.

Follow next Step carefully, any damage caused to your phone will be your responsibility. We are not at all responsible for that.

Now from “Select source folder” option please navigate to “C:\Flashtool\firmwares” and choose the firmware ftf file which you pasted in this folder. After doing this from option “Select a firmware” choose your listed firmware ftf file and check mark the option “Wipe Data”. Do check mark other options if you want, you must know what they do, don’t do anything stupid here please. Under option “Misc” , check mark the option “No Final verification” if you are on Android 4.0.4 ICS Stock version. Click Ok, then. See below image.

As soon as you click OK, Flashtool will now prepare files for flashing which you can see on the Flash Tool open window panel, check below.

As soon as files are prepared, the selected firmware ftf will be installed on your Xperia device.

Done now hopefully if you performed every step carefully. The first reboot in the phone after installing ftf file is very slow, it will be OK after that. Sony C6833 phone appears in Indonesian IT Communications certification

It has been a day only since we saw Sony Xperia A SO-04E launched under NTT DoCoMo and Xperia ZR globally. Just now we saw mysterious Sony C6833 phone appeared in Ministry of Communications and Information Technology – Indonesia certification program list just on 05/15/2013.

Sony C6802 is also present in the list just above Sony C6833, for the same date. Rumors are there that Sony C6802 may be launched under codename Xperia Honami or Xperia I1. News about Xperia Honami have been seen in past also online.

Sony C6833 Phone Appears online in Indonesian certification

Another rumor says that Sony C6833 may be launched under codename as Xperia Togari, expected to be launched as Sony’s first phone-tablet hybrid device. You can see Sony C1905 or C190X series or simply Sony C listed there just for one day back certification. Speculations are there that some of the device may be launched around IFA 2013 at Berlin.

Well nothing to say after all nothing is official yet, rumors are rumors only. But we can surely expect some high-end Xperia devices from Sony soon.

Update Tutorial – Installation Guide

1 – We need to download the Xperia FLASHTOOL for flashing the ftf file.

Download Flashtool V0.9.10.1 I 109 MB I [Direct Link]

2 – As soon as you download Xperia FLASHTOOL. Install it on your PC, it will take 417 MB space on your PC. Let us say downloaded file location on your PC is “C:\Flashtool”. Go to this folder, and in the “drivers” folder find file “Flashtool-drivers” as shown below.

3 – Run the program Flashtool-drivers as “Administrator” . In the scroll box of option “Select components to install”, Do “Check Mark” the options > “Xperia P, U and Sola Drivers”, “Flashmode drivers” and “Fastboot drivers”. Total space required would be 22.1 MB. Click on “Install” option. Check below for screenshot.

4 – Wait for the drivers to install on your PC. As soon as the drivers have been installed successfully. Go to “C:\Flashtool” and in the folder “firmwares” paste the downloaded Xperia P LT22_6.2.A.0.400_World Generic.ftf in that folder.

5 – Now run the main “FlashTool.exe” file from the folder, as soon as it open you see written “Device disconnected at the end”. Check image below.

6 – Now Switch off your Xperia P. Now after waiting for 30 seconds, connect the USB cable to your PC and now pressing “Volume Down” button connect USB’s other half to your Xperia P (Flashing key for Xperia P). As soon as your phone is connected you will see “Green” light blinking in the notification LED this is called booting into Flash Mode. Now you will see as “Device connected in FLASHMODE” in the screen of Xperia Flashtool. Check screenshot below.

7 – See in the top left corner above you will find a black thunder icon, click on it, choose “Flash Mode” and navigate to folder to select the ftf file you placed in “firmwares” folder above in step 4.

8 – Click OK, the Jelly Bean 6.2.A.0.400 firmware ftf file will be flashed on your Xperia P now. As soon as flashing is done, screen says “Finish”. Disconnect your phone from PC and reboot.

NOTE : The very first reboot after flashing will be very slow, later it will be stabilized.

Looking at the white Sony Xperia S39h leaked photos it looks just similar in design to chinese version Xperia L S36h. You see Sony Xperia S39h seems to be the same in design as Sony used for new Xperia 2013 lineup. It has the same “power” button as seen in Xperia Z and ZL. Front camera at the top right side with Sony logo in the middle. Xperia logo is present at the back of phone. Microphone just at the bottom of phone. Install the above downloaded Xperia Privilege Apk. Run it. ( You can download both Version 2.0 and 2.1 anyone you like ).
As soon as you run it, it will ask you to accept TOS, do it and proceed further.
If you see a black screen only like with no promotional offers listed, then it must be because it has no offers in your country. To see them go to “Settings > General Settings > Setting of Country/Language > Choose UK > English > Ok”. Now you will be able to see all promotional offers.

Supposing now you have successfully installed Xperia Privilege Apk on your phone, as the Xperia Privilege app is supported by every Xperia smartphone but the promotional offer is only limited to Xperia Z only. So in order to get the Free £20/€25 Voucher on your Xperia handset, we need to do some editing in the build.prop file.

Device must be rooted, if it is then proceed further. With the help of your file manager, navigate to /system/ and open the build.prop file.
Now we are going to edit the build.prop file. Navigate to ro.product.model=<value> and ro.product.board=<value> and in place of <value>, we will add the value of Xperia Z which is to be put like Product Model = Xperia Z = C6603/C6602/SO-02E and Product Board = MSM8960.
Now your build.prop file must be showing ro.product.model=C6603 and ro.product.board=MSM8960.
Reboot your phone and you are done.
Open the Xperia Privilege app again and now you should see all promotional offers listed and your Free £20/€25 Voucher.
