Sony has officially started rolling android 4.4.2 KitKat 10.5.A.0.230 firmware update for Xperia ZR whereas the same update hit Xperia Z, ZL and Tablet Z, a week ago. Sony has updated the software status of Xperia ZR on its software update page as KitKat. Android 4.4.2 KitKat update was the very much awaited update for Xperia “Z” series owners and it began when Sony started rolling it back in Feb for Xperia Z1, Z Ultra and Z1 Compact.

10.5.A.0.230 firmware update for Xperia ZR is confirmed in regions like Hong Kong, Taiwan, Peru, Nordic regions via PC Companion and SUS. No OTA for 10.5.A.0.230 firmware update seen yet. 10.5.A.0.230 firmware on Xperia ZR brings the same UI as seen on Xperia Z1. 10.5.A.0.230 firmware is yet not seen in India on C5502.
