Sony releases their flagship smartphones every 6 months. This way they can make sure that the devices always have top notch specification and are competitive in the market. We have now seen 3 generations of the Xperia Z Series handsets being released to the markets worldwide i.e. Xperia Z, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2.

The newest Xperia Z2 is an absolutely brilliant device that has improved significantly since the original Xperia Z. Xpera Z2 features Snapdragon 801 2.3 GHz quad core processor, 5.2″ 1080p IPS screen display, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and 20.7 MP rear cam with 4K video recording support.

While if we see Xperia Z it seems an inferior device as compared to Xperia Z2 in terms of specifications while Xperia Z1 is a huge update over Xperia Z but does it stand par with Xperia Z2, lets see.

Xperia Z2 vs Xperia Z1 Camera Comparison – Xperia Z2 shows less noise in pics

Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z1 though seems very similar but in terms of specifications and features Sony has tweaked many new features in Xperia Z2. Xperia Z2 supports S801 SoC, Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB RAM, dual Stereo Speakers, better notification light, larger 5.2″ FHD display with Live Color LED tech and new camera app with features like 4K Video recording and TimeShift video app with slow motion feature.

While Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z1 features same 20.7 MP rear cam Sony “G” lens 1/2.3-inch sensor, it seems Sony has worked more on Xperia Z2 camera algorithm this time. Xperia Z1 users from starting are still complaining about too much noise in the pics and it seems Sony is now working on that domain seriously.

We hope after Xperia Z2 is launched in market with its final Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware, it’s camera pics will be much better than at present and same is expected for Xperia Z1 on its Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

Sony has seriously done good work with display in Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z2 and both showed great improvement and Xperia Z2 showing much better colors and viewing angles as when compared to Xperia Z1.
