We have already reviewed Xperia Z 3000mAh and Xperia Z Ultra 4000mAh Mugen Power battery case and this time we have got our hands on Xperia Z1 3000mAh Mugen Power Battery Case. It is priced at $89.50 excluding shipping charges and ships world wide. At present Xperia Z1 3000mAh Mugen Power Battery Case is available only in black color for the time being.

Xperia Z1 3000mAh Mugen Power Battery Case [CC-C6903] is compatible with all variants of Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S and DoCoMo Xperia Z1 SO-01F. Xperia Z1 comes with 3000 mAh embedded battery so with Mugen Power case you get double battery power, as they say but is it true; well lets find out that.

Xperia Z1 3000mAh Mugen Power Battery Case comes in the same package design like in which they shipped Xperia Z Mugen Power case. It is sealed in a transparent plastic box.

Let’s have a look at the package.

At back side of box there is an instruction manual placed inside.

Outer side of Xperia Z1 3000mAh Mugen Power Battery Case has a camera opening and secondary microphone hole. At the bottom of case there are 5 LEDs which glows in blue light to show the amount of power left in case.

Inner side of the case has magnetic dock pins which are used to charge Xperia Z1 and electrical ratings of the case are also written.

Xperia Z1 3000mAh Mugen Power Battery Case has perfect opening of camera and secondary microphone. No obstruction for flash was seen while taking pics with case on.

Side bumper clips are used to hold Xperia Z1 inside the case.

Check the magnetic charging dock pins fitted in the case.

5 LEDs present on back of case represents the amount of power left in the case.

At the bottom side you will find a Micro USB port to charge the case with the help of AC Adapter you get with your Xperia Z1 and On/Off button to power on and off the case for charging.

How to use case ?

  • Power on the case, and put your Xperia Z1 inside the case.
  • Make sure magnetic dock pins of case are in contact with Xperia Z1 magnetic charging dock area, if it is you will see your Xperia Z1 getting charge now.

Charging Results

  • It took us around 4.45 hours to charge the case fully.
  • While charging our Xperia Z1 from 0-65% , case got discharged completely.

You may feel that case has some unpleasant look and a bit bulky but as the battery plate is embedded inside the case so it has got some width and weight.
