  • Actually mine is xperia ZL, Whether this flash can be applied on any xperia device or only on z-series devices ?

  • Yes, I've been waiting to root my XZU until I received KitKat. Also a side note, I think it sucks that we're no longer able to use our microSDXC cards as they were intended to! We're left using the cheesy File Commander instead of Root Explorer - why? Yes I know this is where Google has been heading for a long time and yes I know AFTER we root our devices we'll be able to employ Root Explorer just as we used to. But it still didn't make it right!

Finally, it seems to me that the XZU hardly receives any kind of attention it deserves - were always reading about OTHER Xperia devices can't we please see more articles about our favorite device too. I know is personally appreciate reading more about the device I own on a daily basis and I'm sure I'm not alone wondering why we haven't this far.

    • Yes Google did screw up with SD card thing on KitKat but interestingly it is working fine on Nexus devices issue is only with OEM devices on KitKat.

Yes I agree ZU is a wonderful device, will take care of your concern from now onwards :)

  • Hi Anurag Kumar,

First of all i would like to appreciate your efforts in posting such kind of tutorials & Big thanks!!!

I have a quick question about 2g to 3g toggle as on Cyanogen mod.
can you help me to tag it to My device which helps me in big time by saving My battery life and data usage

    Thanks
    Vijay

  • Hi, first of all thank you for this tutorial!
I just did it, it worked perfectly.
I thought everything would be wiped from my phone but everything was still there (which I didn't want) so I did a factory reset from the phone settings.

I don't know if it worked before the reset, but now my camera doesn't work.
I can open the camera, everything seems to work, but there is no autofocus and I can't take pictures nor videos.

    Any idea ?

  • Hi, this procedure will erase apps, settings, media and all data? I'll have to reinstall anything back? :( thank you

    • I have been using this room for 1 Month. This completely resembles as stock rom 4.4

Upto My observation you will not loose even a single bit of data
