There are three main steps to unlock your boot loader.
Step 1: Go to Sony Unlock Boot loader site, Select your Xperia device from the list, make sure it is on or above mentioned firmware.
Enter your email address to receive the confirmation code for unlocking boot loader.
Click on the link sent on your email id.
Step 2: Enter your IMEI number for verification.
Step 3: After submitting IMEI number, unlock code will be given and then you can proceed unlocking boot loader on your Xperia device as per mentioned steps or you can find unlocking steps here.
Nothing has been changed except now Sony is clearly mentioning the devices which can be unlocked and on which firmware.

Hi, currently on carbon 4.4.4,unlocked bootloader on xperia zl, unlocking is simple using flashtool once u have imei #.instead of using above steps from cmd,connect the usb to phone n laptop, just click unlock button from tool,turnoff the phone, come back in flashboot mode using volume down key, it will flash,turn off the phone n connect in fastboot using volume up key, put the imei number n unlock. It will save the file n using same file u can relock later.: -)
In the above steps, instead of imei #,it should be bootloader key. Sorry for confusion
Unlocking is now an easy job...
And relocking service gives us more power to perform more testings, developments n hackings.
So my question is "Does this official relocking service restore DRM keys (TA partition)?" I mean, we all know unlocking bootloader loses DRM keys in TA partition.
It'll be great for those who didn't back up TA partition before unlocking BL.
After unlocking bootloader if i flash original ftf then will bootloader relock???
what about xperia e1 dual, not listed under device. So, how to unlock this device, any suggestion. Thank you.
