A day back we saw Sony Japan launching waterproof SRS-X1 speaker and SRS-X2 20W output speaker and today we saw Sony India launching Xperia Z2 in India market. A new Xperia smartphone Xperia ZL2 SOL25 is launched for au by KDDI in Japan. Xperia ZL2 SOL25 resembles Xperia Z2 in terms of specifications in many factors. Xperia Z2 Tablet is also launched for domestic market in Japan by Sony.

Xperia ZL2 SOL25 features 5″ Full HD display, waterproof and dust resistant IPX5/IPX8 and IP5X rating, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AB 2.3GHz quad core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage + microSD card slot,  Android 4.4 KitKat Out of the box, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and 3000mAh battery, 167 g weight, 137 × 72 × 10.8 mm in dimensions and 20.7 MP rear camera with 2.2 MP front cam. Following Xperia Z2 features exceeds the Xperia ZL2 SOL25 features : 3200 mAh battery, 163 g weight, 5.2″ Full HD display, 146.8 x 73.3 x 8.2 mm in dimensions. One strange thing noticed in Xperia ZL2 SOL25 is that it supports a plastic back instead of glass frame.

Price of Xperia ZL2 SOL25 is still unknown, it should be available by May end in Japanese market. We will let us know as soon as we get more info on release of Xperia ZL2 SOL25.
