23.1.A.1.28 firmware was certified for Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Compact yesterday and now the same firmware has also been certified for Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. At present Xperia Z3 series in on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update.

23.1.A.1.28 firmware moves the current build from 23.1.A.0.xxx to 23.1.A.1.xx.  It seems to be a major bug fixing update, whether Android 5.0.2 or Android 5.1 Lollipop, it can’t be said for the time being.

Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact 23.1.A.0.690 firmware rolling – Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update

Today Sony rolled Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet & Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and yesterday we saw the same update rolling on Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact in form of 23.1.A.0.690 firmware build.

Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is confirmed first in Baltic and Nordic regions, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway. Other regions of the world haven’t reported the update yet.

6.4 mm slim Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact with 8″ FHD Display launched

Sony Mobile has officially launched Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, a 8″ tablet from Sony featuring the same hardware specifications like Xperia Z3. Sony calls Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact as the world’s lightest and slimmest tablet in 6.4 mm aluminium frame weighing only 270 grams. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact features Snapdragon 801 2.5 GHz quad core processor, 3 GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. It is not exactly the successor of Xperia Z2 Tablet but can be called as a compact version of it as the name suggests.

Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has IP 65/68 certifications (highest level of water proofing so far), 8.1 MP rear cam, 2.2 MP front cam, 4500 mAh battery, 16/32 GB internal storage (with external microSD car support), 3 GB RAM. It also comes with PS4 remote play feature just like Xperia Z3 has.

Two days back Sony unknowingly outed Sony SmartWatch SW3 and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact pics near a water pool on one of its official Facebook application page and today we spotted Sony mentioning Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact in the Xperia Z2 Tablet Specifications listing page.

Sony mentioned Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact name under Xperia Z2 Tablet display details tab knowingly or unknowingly ( only they knows ) but it is the second time in last 2 days that Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has popped up on official Sony related page.

Sony SmartWatch SW3 & Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact pic unknowingly outed by Sony

Sony is all set for its IFA 2014 event and the launch of Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact is very much confirmed but recently rumors for Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and Sony SmartWatch SW3 caught fire. Sony Mobile has unknowingly outed the pic of Sony SmartWatch SW3 & Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact (believed to be).

Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is expected to feature a shorter 7″ or 8″ display panel with the specifications very much similar to that of Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact.

Below you can see the pic of white Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and a black Sony SmartWatch SW3, both near water pool which clearly indicates that both devices will be water resistant.

[ UPDATE ] Sony has removed the above pic from the Xperia Facebook app.

Motorola is all set to launch its android wear Moto 360 and LG also may release its new android smartwatch at IFA also, seeing this Sony must come up with something innovative to compete with Moto 360 and other android smartwatches.

By looking at the pic dial of SmartWatch shown above looks a bit different from Sony SW2.

Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact rumors are in the air and now an official confirmation on the existence of Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact ( probably Sony SGP621 which was spotted on Indonesian Postel a few days back ) have been spotted in the official support documents of Sony Bluetooth Speaker ( BSC10A ).

Documents reads that Sony Bluetooth Speaker BSC10A is compatible with Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and the support document was revised today. It clearly indicates that Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is on its way along with its siblings Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Smartphone and may see the launch at IFA 2014, 3 Sept 2014 event at Berlin.
