Sony Mobile has officially launched Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, a 8″ tablet from Sony featuring the same hardware specifications like Xperia Z3. Sony calls Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact as the world’s lightest and slimmest tablet in 6.4 mm aluminium frame weighing only 270 grams. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact features Snapdragon 801 2.5 GHz quad core processor, 3 GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. It is not exactly the successor of Xperia Z2 Tablet but can be called as a compact version of it as the name suggests.

Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has IP 65/68 certifications (highest level of water proofing so far), 8.1 MP rear cam, 2.2 MP front cam, 4500 mAh battery, 16/32 GB internal storage (with external microSD car support), 3 GB RAM. It also comes with PS4 remote play feature just like Xperia Z3 has.

Sony has improved the power management system on Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, claiming 13 hours of video playback.
