Purple Xperia Z Ultra C6802 spotted with X-Reality for Mobile UI 14.1.B.1.493 firmware

A prototype of purple Sony Xperia Z Ultra C6802 has been spotted with X-Reality for Mobile UI and the 14.1.B.1.493 firmware in China. It seems the unit is not for sale yet as what a label says.

Original Poster at Gfan posted some pics of purple Xperia Z Ultra with new 14.1.B.1.493 firmware and Bluetooth headset SBH52. Pics confirmed that 14.1.B.1.493 firmware will definitely bring the new UI to Xperia Z Ultra including X-Reality for Mobile which was missing from Xperia Z Ultra C6802 HSPA+ version and Bravia Engine 2 is their till 14.1.B.0.475 firmware update.

Software info reads 1271-5715_14.1.B.1.493 Generic User, Global HSPA_ version.

A few days back we saw PTCRB certifying 14.1.B.1.510, 14.1.B.1.515 firmware for all version of Xperia Z Ultra.

14.1.B.1.493 firmware is expected to come officially with the launch of Xperia Z Ultra LTE C6843/C6833/C6806 versions. Hope we see it soon as Xperia Z Ultra uses are highly waiting for X-Reality to come on device.

X Reality for Mobile Xperia Z Ultra coming during 9 September 2013 week

X-Reality for mobile is presently missing from Xperia Z Ultra C6802 HSAP+ version and it is speculated that with the launch of Xperia Z Ultra LTE version, users will see X-Reality for Mobile in it.

As seen from the White Paper published for Xperia Z Ultra LTE variants C6843/C6833/C6806, it seems X-Reality is missing from them also and it may come in the upcoming firmware updates for them.

Sony quoted it officially about the feature X-Reality for mobile in the white papers published for Xperia Z Ultra C6843/C6833/C6806/C6802 variants and will come in week commencing 9th September, 2013.

Only Xperia Z Ultra C6843 has also been certified with another 14.1.B.1.515 firmware, a higher firmware build over 14.1.B.1.510 firmware and 14.1.B.1.506 firmware.

Sony’s latest Xperia Z Ultra features whooping 6.4 inch full HD 1080p “Triluminos Display” screen with 342 ppi pixel density which is best yet seen in any Xperia smartphone. Though in its promotion we saw X-Reality for mobile in Xperia Z Ultra but it is missing in recently launched Xperia Z Ultra C6802 HSPA+ version, soon it is expected to get in new firmware version.

14.1.B.1.493 firmware was also spotted on Xperia Z Ultra C6802 HSPA+ version which may get it similar UI just like as we saw in Xperia Z Ultra launch and also X-Reality for mobile so now when this 14.1.B.1.493 firmware is certified by PTCRB for both version, it may be launched soon and soon we can expect the launch of Xperia Z Ultra C6833 LTE version.

Xperia Z Ultra C6802 as present misses the type of UI as shown during it’s launch, even the X-Reality for mobile is also missing from display settings and Bravia Engine 2 appears at it’s place. It is being expected that this new 14.1.B.1.493 firmware will bring X-Reality ( Still as Speculation only ) to Xperia Z Ultra C6802 and soon we can expect the 14.1.B.1.493 firmware to be rolled out 😉

Talking of firmware updates Sony is releasing them too fast now, in previous two days we have seen Sony rolling 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.0.244 firmware update for Xperia Z, ZL and ZR. Though Xperia ZR got it’s first android 4.2.2 update.

Just now we have seen Xperia Z C6802 HSPA+ version has received an Android 4.2.2 14.1.B.0.471 firmware update over its previous 14.1.B.0.461 firmware version. It is the first update for Xperia Z Ultra.

Flash the above two files in CWM recovery on your device.
Wipe the Cache and Dalvik Cache.
Reboot your device now.

Flashing Steps in CWM v6.0.3.0 recovery

Reboot Xperia S, SL, Acro S, Ion in recovery. On seeing Sony logo, keep pressing the “Volume Up” button. You will blue light blinked and the green light. Then phone boots in recovery.
To navigate use “Power Button” for selecting and “Volume up and down” button for scrolling up and down through list of options.
Choose option “Install zip from SD Card” > Navigate to your save zip file > Select it > Choose Yes install zip from SD card”. As soon as installing starts you will see log below. After it is finished, Choose “Go Back” and “Reboot system now”.

As soon as phone reboots normally, you will see the new android 4.2.2 Jell Bean Themes from Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Honami i1. It’s Done enjoy the new latest themes 🙂

At a price of €729 Xperia Z Ultra will be the costliest phablet in the market as per now but seeing it’s features the price is accurate afterall Xperia Z Ultra is the world’s fastest smartphone with largest full HD Display 🙂

There are also rumors that Sony €719 in the Dutch / Netherlands market, so we expect the Xperia Z Ultra will be launched around some €650 to €700. If price is speculated same will be seen in Indian market at around Rs 52000-Rs 54000.
