Sony releases Xperia SWPA Theme officially

Sony World Photography Awards winners were announced yesterday by Sony on their blog and today to celebrate the event they have released Xperia SWPA Theme officially on Play Store. Xperia SWPA Theme is compatible with Xperia handsets running Android 4.4+.

Though Xperia SWPA theme looks nice on Android 5.0 Lollipop running Xperia handsets but theme needs more polishing to make it even better. The Color of status bar and the settings bar don’t match.

As you can see in the screenshots, Xperia SWPA theme uses white navigations icons so if you are calling someone the whole navigation bar becomes white and nothing is visible (a bug, certainly).

Sony has started rolling Android Lollipop update on its Xperia smartphones now and so far Xperia “Z3” and Xperia “Z2” series have seen it. Official Xperia Powers theme launched by Sony to promote its PlayStation series

Sony PlayStation’s original series “Powers“, from the studio that brought renowned TV series “Breaking Bad (check out Xperia Breaking Bad BootAnimation)” was premiered on 10 March exclusively and season 1 is free with PlayStation plus. Well to promote it eventually Sony has put an official Xperia Powers theme on Play Store.

Xperia Powers theme is compatible with all Xperia handsets running Android 4.3+ (rooted as well as non rooted). Version 1.0.0 of theme is available for download now. Theme gives you purple color navigation and status bar, with a yellow-brown color system UI.

Xperia Theme Creator BETA tool released by Sony – Create your own Xperia Themes easily now

Sony has officially released Xperia Theme Creator BETA tool which will help developers to create Xperia Themes for Sony smartphones from the pre-defined templates. This tool will allow you to customize more than 300 graphical assets like icons, buttons etc.

You can design anything from wallpaper, icons, buttons, colors and when you are done with your Xperia theme, just export it and apk can be installed on any Xperia device running KitKat or above. It has templates for Adobe Photoshop which can be used to create graphics for the theme.

Xperia Material NXT Blue Theme based on Sony’s Lollipop design

We have recently seen screenshots from Xperia Z4 Dual showing what Sony holds for Lollipop UI and seeing that one of the first Xperia themes based on Sony’s Android 5.0 Lollipop design has come i.e. Xperia Material NXT Blue Theme (other colors like Purple, Green, Red soon to follow).

To install Xperia Material NXT Blue Theme you need rooted Xperia handset Z, Z1, Z2 or Z3 with SuperUser Mod installed, install theme normally and reboot. Theme is only compatible with above mentioned Xperia handsets. You get white themed UI, with new Wi-Fi icon, signal strength icon, switch buttons, navigation keys, colored status bars, themed dialer etc.

Today we are sharing a cool Xperia MoonBreakers Theme inspired from Transformers design. Beta version 1.0 has been released, you get fully themed Xperia launcher, semi-full themed framework, customized navigation keys with switches/radio button also inspired from Transformers movie.

You need rooted Xperia handset running Android 4.3+ with SuperUser Mod installed (must to run the theme) along with Xperia Xposed app or patched services.jar. Theme is successfully tested on Xperia Z2, Z1, Z, M2 (KitKat) and Xperia SP (Jelly Bean).

Sony has released another promotional Xperia theme for iFit fitness tracker app on Play Store as Xperia iFit Theme. You need Android 4.3+ running on your Xperia handset to install the theme, it works on both rooted as well as non rooted handsets.

Xperia iFit Theme gives you customized Android navigation keys in form of fitness tracker icons, themed system UI with themed Xperia Home. Color of the text in fields likes settings > personalisation is very light. It seems half baked theme to us.
