Xperia E1 20.1.A.0.45 firmware KitKat Android 4.4.2 certified

Sony has certified Android 4.4.2 KitKat build for Xperia E1 D2004 and D2005 in form of 20.1.A.0.45 firmware just after a few days 20.1.B.0.60 firmware was certified for Xperia E1 Dual as KitKat on PTCRb website. Sony promised just after the launch of Xperia E1, M2 and T2 Ultra that these devices will surely be getting  KitKat.

We are expecting the Android 4.4.2 build as the same hit Xperia T2 Ultra and Dual variant. A new app to sd feature was spotted in Xperia T2 Ultra KitKat update, we may see this feature for Xperia E1 KitKat update also.

Xperia E1 20.0.A.1.21 firmware minor bug fixing update rolling

Sony’s latest budget smartphone Xperia E1 D2004, D2005 has been updated to new android 4.3 20.0.A.1.21 firmware update. Previous firmware on Xperia E1 reads as 20.0.A.1.12. Sony has already promised to bring android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual along with Xperia T2 Ultra / T2 Ultra Dual and Xperia M2.

20.0.A.1.21 firmware is confirmed in Central Europe region, only a minor bug fixing update. If you haven’t got the 20.0.A.1.21 firmware update yet on your Xperia E1, download the 20.0.A.1.21 firmware ftf from below link and flash it using flashtool on your Xperia E1.

Purple Xperia E1 hands on photos and experience

Sony launched Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual with Walkman phone tag in mid Jan 2014 along with Xperia T2 Ultra and T2 Ultra Dual. Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual are already available in India at price Rs 9490 and Rs 10490 respectively while priced at €139 in France, £159 in UK, 2 395 kr in Sweden, €199 in Spain, 599 zł in Poland, €149 in Netherlands, € 119 in Italy, €117 in Germany on Sony Mobile online stores across regions in Europe.

Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual features S200 SoC 1.2 GHz dual core processor, Adreno 302 GPU, 3 MP rear cam, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal storage and android 4.3 out of the box. Sony has already mentioned that Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual will be getting android 4.4.2 KitKat update but no specific date has been mentioned yet.

We have recently seen Xperia E1 Dual D2104 and D2105 getting a new 20.0.B.0.74 firmware certification on PTCRB and Xperia E1 D2004 getting 20.0.A.1.12 firmware certified on PTCRB and just 2 days after dated yesterday new firmwares again are certified for Xperia E1 Dual D2114 and Xperia E1 D2004 and D2005 on PTCRB; both new firmwares are android 4.3.

Xperia E1 has been priced officially in European regions by Sony and is under coming soon tag on Sony online stores, it will soon be available at price tag of €139 in France, £159 in UK, 2 395 kr in Sweden, €199 in Spain, 599 zł in Poland, €149 in Netherlands, € 119 in Italy, €117 in Germany. Sony has scheduled the launch of Xperia E1 Dual and Xperia E1 on 10 March and 25 March respectively at a price of Rs 10490 i.e $172 and Rs 9490 i.e. $155 respectively officially in India while Xperia E1 Dual is already available at Rs 9999 from Infibeam onlie store in India. Just now we spotted Sony listing the Xperia E1 across many regions in Europe under “coming soon” tag at their Sony Online Stores with price.

Xperia E1 is priced at €139 in France, £159 in UK, 2 395 kr in Sweden, €199 in Spain, 599 zł in Poland, €149 in Netherlands, € 119 in Italy, €117 in Germany. Out of the box Sony is giving EP800 Charger, EC450 Media Cable and a wired headset. In some regions only two colors are mentioned and in some regions all three colors are listed. Sony has priced Xperia E1 differently across all regions in Europe where in Spain priced highest.

Xperia Z2, Z2 Tablet, E1, T2 Ultra Dual added in Sony Update Service Software

Sony announced Xperia E1 / E1 Dual and Xperia T2 Ultra / T2 Ultra Dual after CES 2014 event in mid Jan 2014 while Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet, the new flagship devices launched at MWC 2014 event. Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet is already on pre-order across many regions in Europe and Xperia E1 has also been priced in Europe but not available for pre-order yet while Xperia E1 Dual launched in India. Xperia T2 Ultra / T2 Ultra Dual has already been launched in India many weeks ago.

Seeing that all above mentioned devices are about to be launched in many regions across the world, Sony has added Xperia Z2, Z2 Tablet, E1, T2 Ultra Dual in Sony Update Service Software so that they can now be officially updated when they are out in market, it also indicates that launch in on track now.

Xperia E1 Dual and Xperia T2 Ultra is not spotted yet on SUS may be because one can select the compatible dual / single sim model for that.

A few days back we saw 20.0.B.0.68 firmware getting certified for Xperia E2 Dual D2104 on PTCRB which is android 4.3 which will come out of the box when it is launched officially in the market and just now 20.0.A.1.8 firmware has been certified for Xperia E1 D2004 and D2005 variants which is as expected will be android 4.3.

Xperia E1 features 4″ WVGA display with S200 SoC, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, 3MP Rear cam and is basically a Walkman phone as Sony tagged it like that, during its official announcement earlier in Jan. Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual are low end devices.

Sony has kick started its journey in launching new handsets for year 2014 already with launching Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z1S LTE version for T-Mobile USA at CES 2014. Just now in mid Jan a long before MWC2014 event Sony has launched 4 budget Xperia handsets exclusively. Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia T2 Ultra dual launched with 6″ 720p HD display and 13 MP rear cam.

Just now Sony Mobile posted that they have launched another budget handset Xperia E1 and Xperia E1Dual. Xperia E1 is the successor of Xperia E and is powered with Snapdragon 200 processor and branded as “Walkman Phone” and 100 dB speaker.

Sony D2104 as Xperia E1 Dual, Sony D2004 as Xperia E1 Spotted on FCC

We have already seen more than 7 new Sony 2014 models on AnTuTu benchmark database and on Indonesian Postel website which stirred the rumors for Sony’s 2014 lineup. Sony SGP521, D2005, D2105 and D5503 were spotted on Indonesian Postel website and Sony D6503, D5303, D2105, D2005 , D2004 and D2303 were spotted on AnTuTu Benchmark database a few days ago and just now some of them now seen on solid FCC network.

We just spotted that Sony D2104 and Sony D2004 both passes through FCC ( 1, 2 ) network which 100% marks the presence of Sony D2104 and Sony D2004 officially as the devices among Sony’s 2014 models lineup. Check below the listing of Sony D2104 and Sony D2004 on FCC.

Sony D2104 and Sony D2105 are the commercial names and as per documents seen on FCC, they have been labelled as Sony Xperia E1 Dual ( HSPA+ and LTE version ) which were previously speculated as facelift version of Xperia L.

Notice the two IMEI numbers labels which indicates it as Dual Sim Mobile. Sony D2104 is spotted as running 20.0.B.0.26 firmware, android version not specified yet and accessories listed as USB Cable, earphones, Battery and AC Adapter. Apparently Sony D2105 scored 13001 points on AnTuTu Benchmark.

Sony D2004 scored 12633 points on AnTuTu benchmark when previously spotted. Only one IMEI number confirms it is single SIM phone running 20.0.A.0.26 firmware, android version not specified yet and accessories listed as USB Cable, earphones, Battery and AC Adapter. Sony D2005 spotted on AnTuTu Benchmark scoring 12790 points.

Listing of Sony D2104 and Sony D2004 on FCC has now revealed the mystery behind the real names of devices. Sony D2104 will comes as Xperia E1 Dual and Sony D2004 as Xperia E2 dual.

What do you think guys, as CES 2104 event is very near and we are expecting Sony to launch some new models of Sony 2104 lineup. It is also speculated the Sony D5503 will be revealed as Xperia Z1 Mini international version and no flagship device will be launched.
