Earlier today Sony Japan has launched two new set of speakers line viz. waterproof SRS-X1 speaker and high output SRS-X2 speaker. SRS-X1 speakers are identical to another model SRS-BTV5 with some enhancement and water resistant nature while SRS-X2 is amplified for higher volume and powerful sound experience.

Sony SRS-X1 speaker will be available in White, Black, Pink and Violet and Sony SRS-X1 speaker will be available in White and Black color, 21 June onwards at price 8500 Yen ($83) + Tax and 9500 Yen ($93) + Tax respectively from Sony Stores in Japan. Sony SRS-X1 speakers are IPX7 rated equivalent to JIS and JIS IPX5 suitable for safely usage in bathroom and kitchen.

Sony SRS-X1 speakers are 185g in weight, practical maximum output ( JEITA investigation ) is 5W, supported connectivity – Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC and standard dimensions are 78mm × 80.5mm × 78mm.

Sony SRS-X2 speaker

Sony SRS-X2 speakers weighs around 500 grams, practical maximum output ( JEITA investigation ) is 20W, supported connectivity – Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC and standard dimensions are 171mm × 60.5mm × 56.5mm.
