Android 5.0 Lollipop coming in February 2015 on Xperia “Z” series, Sony COO, Michael Fasulo confirms

Sony confirmed that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be coming to Xperia “Z” series starting from next month February 2015 at CES 2015, by COO Michael Fasulo. Earlier Sony confirmed that update will be coming starting from early 2015 Jan.

Later today Sony Mobile tweeted confirming the same on their official Twitter page. The entire Xperia “Z” series will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Exact version of update is still unknown ( whether it will be Android 5.0.1 or not ).

CES 2015 is scheduled from Jan 6-9 2015 at Las Vegas and Sony will be holding its press conference on Jan 5, 2015 at 5-5.45 PM PST ( 6.30 AM India, 6 Jan & 01.00 AM UK, 6 Jan) at LVCC, South Hall, Booth #14200.

Sony Mobile has just confirmed on their blog that live streaming video of Sony CES 2015 Press Conference will be available and users can now watch it at 17:00 PST Monday, 5th January onwards.

Recently Sony posted a teaser video of what to expect at CES 2015 saying “Welcome to the New World”.


So what should we expect at Sony’s CES 2015 press conference ? Are we going to see any of these devices Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4 Compact, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z4 Ultra or Xperia E4, well only 3 more days to go.

A few days back we posted Sony’s CES 2015 conference details. It will happen on Jan 5, 2015 at 5-5.45 PM PST ( 6.30 AM India, 6 Jan & 01.00 AM UK, 6 Jan) at LVCC, South Hall, Booth #14200. Today Sony has released first CES 2015 teaser video with tagline “Welcome to the New World”.

There are so many things which can happen at Sony’s CES 2015 conference. We have been seeing alleged leaks regarding Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4 Compact, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z4 Ultra etc. anything can come at CES 2015 from those or none.

Sony CES 2015 Press Conference on January 5, 2015 at Las Vegas

CES 2015 is scheduled from Jan 6-9 2015 at Las Vegas and Sony will be holding its press conference on Jan 5, 2015 at 5-5.45 PM PST ( 6.30 AM India, 6 Jan & 01.00 AM UK, 6 Jan) at LVCC, South Hall, Booth #14200. Last year at CES 2014 Sony unveiled Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z1s T-Mobile variant of Xperia Z1 for US users.

New Xperia Z4 series can be speculated to be unveiled at CES 2015 from Sony. Today only rumored specifications of Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4 Compact, Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia Z4 Ultra were floating around the net and now we can expect any of them to come live hopefully.
