Xperia Link app updated with Android 5.0 Support and material design icon

Sony Xperia Link app has been updated to newer 2.8.A.1.2 version and now it supports Android 5.0 Lollipop. Update also brings material design and redesigned Xperia Link widget for home screen. To use the app, your device must be running Android 4.0+ and to use it with VAIO PCs (with Windows 8 or higher), version must be below Android 4.4.

Xperia Link app lets you connect to the internet from your tablet/PC using the network connection of your phone. It also allows users to view the phone’s text messages and receive call notifications on your tablet (except on Xperia Tablet S).

Sony Album 7.0.A.0.24 app update brings Material Design UI

Sony has updated its Album app to all new 7.0.A.0.24 version which brings Material Design UI to the app exclusively. Earlier Sony has updated its Walkman app to material design while Movies app got only material design icon.

Album 7.0.A.0.24 app update brings an option to move photos to desired folders (icons on folder will indicate where they are stored now) on internal memory or SD card and improved sync settings and usual bug fixing and performance enhancement.

Album 7.0.A.0.24 app update is rolling via Update Center app, though only a few Xperia M2 Aqua users got the update. We haven’t got the update on our Xperia Z2 yet.

Sony Walkman 8.5.A.2.8 update rolling – Bug Fixing

Sony has again updated its Walkman app to newer version 8.5.A.2.8 over older 8.5.A.2.7 version which officially brought material design UI to the app and compatibility with Android 5.0 Lollipop version. Walkman app icon has also been modified as per new material design.

Sony Walkman 8.5.A.2.8 update is working fine on Xperia SP now where in earlier version the light bar was not glowing while using Walkman app.

Walkman 8.5.A.2.8 update is rolling via Update Center app, 14 MB update. It is confirmed on Xperia “Z” series handsets, Xperia SP etc.

Sony Party Share 01.01.00 app updated with Material Design UI

Sony has updated its Party Share app to newer 01.01.00 version which brings Material Design UI to the app from older 01.00.00 version. Sony Party Share 01.01.00 app update brings usual bug fixing and music shuffle support.

Download the Sony Party Share app from Play Store. Install it > Tap on “Host a Party” allowing you to share your photos and music playlist with maximum 10 people ( Host a Party option is only exclusive for Xperia users ). You can either join a party by NFC or tap on the concerned party you want to join by going to main screen of app.

Sony Party Share app is compatible with only Wi-Fi Direct compatible phones and tablets ( running Android 4.4+ ). Following Xperia devices are not supported for the time being ( will soon be supported ) Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet (SOL25, D6503, D6563, SO-03F, L50u, D6502, L50w, D6543, SOT21, SGP521, SO-05F, SGP541, SGP551, SGP511, SGP512, SGP561, L50t).

If you are connected via Wi-Fi HotSpot, the application may be unavailable at that time. You can add your favorite songs to playlist shared and all songs will be played via host device only.

Sony Walkman 8.5.A.2.7 app update rolling – Material Design UI and compatible with Android Lollipop

Sony has updated its Walkman app to 8.5.A.2.7 version ( over previous 8.5.A.0.6 version ) which officially brings new material design UI to the app and compatibility with Android Lollipop version. Update also enables you now to use any sound equaliser from Play Store along with usual bug fixes and performance enhancement. Walkman app icon has also been modified as per new material design.

Sony Walkman 8.5.A.2.7 update is confirmed rolling on Xperia Z2. Official screenshots of Walkman 8.5.A.2.7 app confirms the new Sony Android Lollipop update soft navigation keys like we saw in previous Movie Creator 2.3.A.0.3 app update.
