Sony launches “Magic” AR Effect Theme officially

Sony Mobile has released another AR Effect camera app theme i.e. “Magic” recently at Play Store. Now transform into a magician with the help of tricks and props from the Magic AR Effect Theme.

To use this theme, tap on AR Effect app (AR effect version 4.4.2 or higher) on Xperia Camera and then tap on Magic AR Effect Theme icon. To interact with AR items: Tap on 3D objects to change and Drag 3D objects to reposition them.

Download Xperia XZs Panorama App for Xperia devices

A moment ago we shared Xperia XZs Camera App from Android 7.1.1 Nougat 41.2.A.0.191 firmware and now Xperia XZs Panorama App is also available for download.

Xperia XZs Xperia Loops Themes, Xperia Loops Live Wallpapers and Xperia Clock Widget have already been shared yesterday. As you all know Xperia XZs features 19 MP back camera which allows shooting 960 fps super slow motion videos.

To install Xperia XZs Panorama App you need rooted Xperia device with Android Nougat running and custom recovery installed (Deodexed Firmware also). Tested on Xperia Z5 running Android 7.0 Nougat.

Note: Kindly backup your old Xperia Panorama App file as flashing will remove the old file.

Install Xperia XZs Camera App – Record Slow Motion Videos with one click

Yesterday we shared Xperia XZs System Dump from 41.2.A.0.191 firmware and now various Xperia XZs apps have already been ported. We have already shared Xperia XZs Xperia Loops Themes, Xperia Loops Live Wallpapers and Xperia Clock Widget.

Xperia XZs has 19MP Motion Eye Camera 1/2.3” Exmor RS for mobile memory stacked sensor and allows shooting 960 fps super slow motion videos.

Xperia XZs Camera App

Xperia XZs Camera App (SemcCameraUI) is now available for download for Xperia devices running Android Nougat only. You need rooted Xperia device with custom recovery installed (it doesn’t work on Odexed firmware, as mentioned by some testers). Below posted Xperia XZs camera app is tested running on Xperia Z5 running Android 7.0.

For the time being you can’t record videos at 960 fps super slow motion (requires Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs). Slow motion recording only available at 120 fps.

What’s New in Xperia XZs Camera App

Record Slow Motion Videos with one click (requires Timeshift Video and Video Editor). Timeshift Video will be hidden from Camera add on menu.

Note: Kindly backup your old Xperia Camera App, beacuse flashing this one will remove your old Xperia Camera App.

Sony has released a new AR Effect Camera app theme “Smiley” today on Play Store. This theme allows you to use various funny smiley characters and effects on pics and videos taken by your device’s cam.

You need either v3.1.XX or higher version of AR Effect app(3.3.13) to install this theme and it works with only Android 4.3+ running Xperia devices with Sony Social Smart Camera app.

Motiongraph for Xperia camera app 1.0.13 update brings Material Design icon and bug fixes

Motiongraph for Xperia camera app has been updated to newer 1.0.13 version which brings material design icon to the app and some minor bug fixing. It is the first ever update to Motiongraph for Xperia app from its release so far.

Motiongraph for Xperia camera app requires Android 4.1+ to install the app. This app is used to create effects where a particular portion of image moves like a video for a duration of 2 seconds only (it saves image as a .gif file).

Sony Info-eye app update is rolling in form of 1.7.05 version over previous 1.6.07 version. Info-eye 1.7.05 app update brings faster and better recognition for barcodes, QR codes, text and business cards. Users can send now more detailed info regarding failed recognized photos.

To install Info-eye 1.7.05 app you need android 4.3+ with Sony Social Smart Camera app. Update is available as OTA via Sony Update Center app, 21.1 MB in size. Update confirmed rolling on Xperia “Z” series handsets.

Sony Social Smart Camera add on Background Defocus app has been updated to newer version 1.2.13 which brings minor bug fixing, all changes under the hood. Background Defocus app allows you to create DSLR like effect by blurring the background of the image captured.

Background Defocus 1.2.13 app update is available at Play Store, confirmed for Xperia Z2. It need Android 4.3+ version to work. It works only in 8 MP and 2 MP mode for any camera.

Sony Space theme launched for AR Effect App

Sony has launched a new theme named “Space” for AR Effect App, working in both photo as well as video mode. As the name suggest you get effects of space like solar system, rockets, alien characters, space ships etc. Overall you can create your own solar system in the captured pic or video.

You need atleast AR Effect app version 3.1.1 running to install the theme. Playing with the app is fun, tap on the screen to change the effects and drag them to change the position.

Sony AR Fun 2.0.10 app available on Play Store

Sony Social Smart Camera add on AR Fun app which was first spotted on Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact is now available on Play Store. AR Fun app let you customize your pics and videos in a funny way. It allows you to virtually put different 3D objects on the pictures captured.

Sony explains “Sony’s FACE RECOGNITION Technology and SmartAR* Engine automatically detect faces and 3D environments and decorate them with fun AR items“. You need Sony Social Smart Camera app and android 4.2+ running on your device to install the app.

A new Sony Social Smart camera app add on “Time Lapse” is now available at Play Store for download on all Xperia devices running android 4.1.2+ versions. Time Lapse app is the first app on Play Store which supports 4K lapse video mode, exclusively for Xperia devices having rear cam resolution greater than 9 MP.

Time Lapse version 0.0.5 allows you to capture images at different frames, at different time to make a lapse video. You can make a lapse video of 1 hour with video frames rates ranging from 1 fps to 50 fps. 4K lapse video mode is exclusive for some handsets only because of limitation on rear cam MP resolution. This app works great on Xperia Z1, Z2, Z, ZL, ZR, Z Ultra.

Sony updated Info-eye app to version 1.4.10 from previous build 1.3.07. Sony Info-eye app is a camera add on for Social Smart Camera app which allows you to gather info about the objects, texts, bar codes around you by clicking a snap of them and then concerned result is displayed on screen.

Sony Info-eye 1.4.10 app brings save search history option and sync the info with your Sony Entertainment Network Account, improved UI with larger tiles for better viewing and usual bug fixes. Sony Info-eye 1.4.10 app is confirmed rolling on Xperia Z1, Z2, Z, ZL etc as an OTA update of 21 MB size.
