Mysterious Sony device running Snapdragon 810, Android 5.0.2 benchmarked

Mysterious Sony device with code name “Sony 78YB16RC98PW62B1” running Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 Octa Core chipset has been benchmarked on GeekBench exclusively. It is spotted running Android 5.0.2 OS. A few days back Qualcomm released a statement that future Sony Xperia device of 2015 will have Snapdragon 810 SoC so is this mysterious device Xperia Z4 ? ( can’t be said at this moment ).

Sony 78YB16RC98PW62B1 device is also seen featuring a 3 GB RAM. At Handset Detection user agent, this device was seen as : Mozilla / 5.0 (Linux; Android 5.0; 78YB16RC98PW62B1 Build / 28.0.A.0.324) AppleWebKit / 537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome / 39.0.2171.93 Mobile Safari / 537.36 running 28.0.A.X.XXX firmware.

It is very clear that Snapdragon 810 SoC is associated with some high end device and most probably the next Sony Xperia flagship device.

It is in rumors that Sony might not be launching any flagship model at MWC 2015 event and we may see Xperia Z4 later only this year ( may be at IFA 2015 or in June-July 2015 ).
