Sony SmartWatch 3 recently got a new update in the form of M1D63G build update. M1D63G build updates marks the secruity patch, dated 5 July 2016.

M1D63G build brings Android Wear 1.5.0.3044569 version. Users who have already updated their Sony SmartWatch 3 are reporting better battery life now.

Sony SmartWatch 3 Android 5.0.2 LWX49K build update rolling

Sony SmartWatch 3 users are now reporting new Android 5.0.2 update in form of LWX49K build over previous Android 5.0.1 LWX84P build. It seems only a minor update, confirmed in regions like Malaysia, France, USA, Mexico.

SmartWatch 3 Android 5.0.2 LWX49K build update seems to bring minor changes to Google Play Services. Android 5.0.2 SmartWear update has also been confirmed on Moto 360 and LG G Watch R.

Sony SmartWatch 3 priced at Rs 19990, SmartBand Talk at Rs 12990 in India

Finally Sony has launched SmartWatch 3 and SmartBand Talk in Indian market for Rs 19990 ( $324 ) and Rs 12990 ( $210 ) respectively. Sony has listed both products on Sony India website and will be available soon from official Sony Xperia stores across the country.

SmartWatch 3 has 1.6” 320×320 TFT LCD Transflective display and stainless steel edition of it was introduced in CES 2015. Sony SmartBand Talk SWR30 features curved 1.4” e-paper display, built-in microphone and speaker, HD Voice support with short call function enabling you to listen and talk into your caller.

Stainless steel edition of Sony SmartWatch 3 launched at CES 2015

Sony has finally launched a stainless steel edition of Sony SmartWatch 3 at CES 2015 which will be available for purchase in February. Sony says stainless steel gives you “timeless aestheticism for a premium look and feel”. SmartWatch 3 has 1.6” 320×320 TFT LCD Transflective display, IP 68 certified.

Sony also introduced SmartWatch 3 holder enabling users to try any 24mm watch strap with their SmartWatch 3, availability date unknown for the time being.

Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for Android Wear recently landed on Moto 360, LG G Watch, Samsung Gear Live and now it has been rolling for Sony SmartWatch 5 SWR50. Android Wear is compatible with Android 4.3+ running device so your primary device need not be on Android 5.0 for connecting your SmartWatch 3.

Under system update settings check whether new Android 5.0.1 Lollipop ( OTA ) update is available for your SmartWatch 3 or not, if yes then proceed as per on screen instructions. It is confirmed in regions like Australia, Sweden, France, Chile etc.
