Android 4.2.2 15.3.A.1.12 firmware update was recently rolled on Xperia L which was a major update and brought many fixes for the bugs but it seems current 15.3.A.1.12 firmware is troubling many Xperia L users as per comments received by us. Just now we spotted another minor bug fixing update 15.3.A.1.14 firmware has been certified for Xperia L on PTCRB website.

15.3.A.1.14 firmware certification is seen only for Xperia L C2015 so far now on PTCRB ans we hope soon it certifies for Xperia L C2104 also. Seeing Sony’s current firmware updating process it should come soon if it is actually meant to be rolled out.

Android 4.3 9.2.A.0.278 firmware certified for Xperia T and Xperia V again

Only 4 devcies are left without android 4.3 update as mentioned by Sony viz. Xperia SP, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V. A while ago we saw new android 4.3 12.1.A.0.256 firmware Certified for Xperia SP again, previous build certified was 12.1.A.0.253. On 31st December we saw Android 4.3 9.2.A.0.276 firmware getting certified for Xperia T and Xperia V and nothing for Xperia TX yet. But there has been revision to previous certified build for Xperia T and Xperia V.

We just spotted new Android 4.3 9.2.A.0.278 firmware certified for Xperia T and Xperia V and nothing for Xperia TX yet on PTCRB website. It seems this revised build is a bug fixing update of previous build and should come soon anytime now. Have a look at the certification below.

New Android 4.3 12.1.A.0.256 firmware Certified for Xperia SP again

Sony Xperia SP users are furious over Sony for delaying android 4.3 update, back in December we saw android 4.3 12.1.A.0.253 firmware being certified for all variants of Sony Xperia SP and then later an alleged about phone screenshot from android 4.3 12.1.A.0.252 firmware was leaked. When we asked Sony Xperia support on Twitter that what is the progress with android 4.3 update for Xperia SP, thy replied “work is still in progress“.

Well it seems Sony is rectifying some major bugs from previous certified firmware as again a new Android 4.3 12.1.A.0.256 firmware has been certified for Sony Xperia SP on PTCRB website. It seems the final android 4.3 build for Xperia SP and should come soon now.

Xperia L 15.3.A.1.12 Firmware certified – Is it android 4.3 or 4.2.2 ?

Unexpectedly Xperia L was recently updated to android 4.2.2 15.3.A.0.26 firmware in October end and in December we saw once again 15.3.A.0.27 firmware appearing on PTCRB certification program which never rolled out till day yet. Just now another new 15.3.A.1.12 firmware build has been certified on PTCRB website.

15.3.A.1.12 build moves from 15.3.A.0.XX build which means a huge update is going to strike on Xperia L very soon. Though as per our us it seems still android 4.2.2 update as Sony has already mentioned the devices which will be getting android 4.3 so there is few chances that it will come as android 4.3.

Sony is working hard now update it seems, whole Xperia Z series has been updated to android 4.3 recently and a few moments ago we spotted android 4.3 12.1.A.0.253 firmware being certified for Xperia SP on PTCRB website.

15.3.A.1.12 firmware should hit Xperia L users soon by the end of this year or hopefully in first week of Jan 2014. Till now it should be taken as android 4.2.2 update only, it is not expected that android 4.3 will roll on Xperia L in any case.

Xperia SP Android 4.3 12.1.A.0.253 firmware Certified by PTCRB

As promised by Sony, android 4.3 firmware update has already been rolled on Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra a week ago and yesterday we saw android 4.3 party arriving on Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z. Now as per Sony’s post Xperia SP, T, TX and V are left behind with android 4.3 update which will receive directly from android 4.1.2 update.

Just now we spotted Android 4.3 12.1.A.0.253 firmware certified for Xperia SP C5302, C5303 and C5306 on PTCRb website. As per the date of certification it should come by the end of year 2013 or in early starting of year 2014 hopefully. Check the certification of Android 4.3 12.1.A.0.253 firmware.

It has only been a week since Sony rolled officially android 4.3 14.2.A.0.290 firmware update for Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra globally which brought new features like “Xperia” themes, smooth UI, improved camera etc. on both handsets but now it looks like that Sony is planning another major update in form of android 4.3 14.2.A.1.114 firmware on both handsets. A few days back we posted that 14.2.A.1.XXX firmware is about to come and here it is surfaced.

14.2.A.1.114 firmware has been certified on PTCRB website for both Xperia Z1 version C6902 / C6903 / C6906 and Xperia Z Ultra version C6802 / C6833 / C6843 / C6806. 14.2.A.1.114 changes the configuration from 14.2.A.0.XXX which clearly indicates that it will be a significant major bug fixing update.

Recently XDA devs leaked android 4.3 10.4.B.0.569 firmware build for Xperia Z and Xperia ZL which was speculated that it is the final build and should come soon. Yesterday Sony rolled out android 4.3 14.2.A.0.290 firmware update for Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra officially which fixed many issues for both phones and Sony posted on their blog that further android 4.3 update rolling for other devices gonna follow.

Today PTCRB has certified Android 4.3 10.4.B.0.569 firmware for Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Tablet Z. All 4 Xperia devices will get the same Android 4.3 10.4.B.0.569 build very soon. Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra Android 4.3 14.2.A.0.290 firmware Update Rolling Officially

All variants of Xperia Z1 C6902/C6903/C6906/C6943 have been certified with Android 4.3 14.2.A.0.290 firmware on PTCRB website yesterday. As per our sources the Android 4.3 14.2.A.0.290 firmware is still in testing and should come within 1-2 week before the employees leave for Christmas Holiday.

Another android 4.3 14.2.C.X.X firmware build is running on mysterious Xperia Z1 C6916 device which is expected to be unreleased LTE version of Xperia Z1 in US.

Meanwhile same Android 4.3 14.2.A.0.290 firmware has also been certified for Xperia Z Ultra C6843 on PTCRB website, though no firmware has been certified for Xperia Z Ultra C6802/3 yet. Yesterday we saw that Android 4.3 14.2.A.0.290 OTA update notification on a Xperia Z Ultra ( may be a developer handset ).

Above certification clearly suggests that now Android 4.3 14.2.A.0.290 firmware is not so far from rolling out officially on Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra.

Xperial L 15.3.A.0.27 firmware certified by PTCRB – Bug Fixing Update

Sony recently crowned Xperia L with android 4.2.2 15.3.A.0.26 firmware update with which Xperia L joined the elite club of Xperia Z series which were already on android 4.2.2 firmware a lot ago. Thought the 15.3.A.0.26 firmware update brought many new features on Xperia L but with it brought some bugs too.

Xperial L 15.3.A.0.27 firmware ( android 4.2.2 ) is recently certified on PTCRB, a minor bug fixing update over previous android 4.2.2 15.3.A.0.26 firmware. 15.3.A.0.27 firmware is spotted for both Xperia L C2105 and C2104. No ETA for the 15.3.A.0.27 firmware update yet. We saw many users who were asking us to post previous firmware builds which clearly states that the current firmware has some serious bugs.

No specific date is there for the release of 15.3.A.0.27 firmware but it should come soon hopefully, a delightful news for all Xperia L owners. Sony has recently exposed its plans for android 4.3 update and android 4.4 update. It is very much clear not that android 4.3 will not come to Xperia L but it should be in the second batch of devices getting android 4.4 update next year.

T-Mobile USA Xperia Z C6606/C6616 10.3.1.E.0.191 firmware certified – Which Android version ?

In between the time when Sony Mobile officially tweeted that they are going to release their android 4.4 KitKat and android 4.3 update plans for the Xperia devices, a new firmware has been spotted for T-Mobile USA Xperia Z C6606/C6616. 10.3.1.E.0.191 firmware besides 10.3.1.E.0.190 firmware has been spotted on PTCRB website recently.

It is still not clear that 10.3.1.E.0.191 firmware belongs to which android version. It is a higer build over android 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware update as the new firmware has a new series 10.3.1.E.X.XXX so it is expected to be a higher build of android too.

PTCRB Certified Xperia L 15.3.A.0.26 firmware – Major Android 4.2.2 Update Coming Soon

Last time we saw any firmware update for Xperia L was back in early August i.e 15.0.A.2.17 firmware, which was a major update and introduced a lot many features. Just now another 15.3.A.0.26 firmware update of new series has been certified on PTRCB website for Xperia L C2105 and C2104. It seems to be another major update for Xperia L now.

15.3.A.0.26 firmware as compared to previous 15.0.A.2.17 firmware, changes it series from 15.0.A to 15.3.A hinting that something big is coming to Xperia L now. Xperia L at present is on Android 4.1.2 but we think that it may be android 4.2.2 update.

Xperia Z1 was released with the tagline “Best of Sony” but it’s firmware is still not the best one yet. We have seen a lot more firmware updates on Xperia Z1 since it’s launch, clearly indicating that people at Sony are working on improving it. Recent major update consisted of 14.1.G.2.257 firmware which was ought to solve out many bugs including the most annoying yellow hue tint and noisy images from camera app.

Just now another minor bug fixing 14.1.G.2.259 firmware update is spotted on PTCRB website. It seems are users were complaining after this 14.1.G.2.257 firmware update, Sony has decided to roll another one soon.

Xperia Z C6603 10.3.1.A.2.74 firmware Update Rolled Out – Carrier Based Update

A new 10.3.1.A.2.74 firmware has been certified on PTCRB site for Xperia Z C6603, nothing updated for Xperia Z C6602 yet, hope to be done soon. Recently a few days back minor 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware update rolled on Xperia Z both LTE and HSPA+ versions over previous major 10.3.1.A.0.244 firmware update.

10.3.1.A.2.74 firmware is a minor update ( Android 4.2.2 only ) and expected to fix some bugs only nothing new. PTCRB has updated the list on their site on 1st Oct.

Xperia Z Ultra 14.1.B.1.532 firmware certified by PTCRB

Recently we saw 14.1.B.1.526 firmware being rolled on Xperia Z Ultra C6802 HSPA+ version, now even LTE version of Xperia Z Ultra is being listed in UK market and now a new firmware has been certified for all versions Xperia Z Ultra. 14.1.B.1.532 firmware is the latest firmware which is certified now.

PTCRB yesterday listed 14.1.B.1.532 firmware for Xperia Z Ultra HSPA+ C6802 and C6806, C6833, C6843. This is the first time any firmware has been certified for Xperia Z Ultra C6843.

Recently a few days ago 14.1.B.1.526 firmware update rolled which was a bug fixing update only and before that we saw the major 14.1.B.1.510 firmware update which brought X-Reality for Mobile in display settings on Xperia Z Ultra.

Let’s hope the new certified 14.1.B.1.532 firmware will be rolled out quickly.

12.0.A.2.245 firmware update has some bugs in lightning of illumination bar in stamina mode and the black dots appearing in camera pics, hope Sony fixes all bugs in upcoming update soon…

It is also expected to come as Android 4.1.2 only.

Xperia Z1 aka Honami C69XX 14.1.G.1.518 firmware certified by PTCRB

On 15 August we saw PTCRB listing firmwares for Xperia Honami C69XX ( C6903/C6906 ) series as 14.1.G.1.493 firmware, it was the first time when we saw a firmware being listed for a phone before it is launched. Strange thing is that, PTCRB remove the listing just after 5 days of certifying it.

Just now we have spotted 4 Variants of C69XX i.e. Xperia Honami aka Xperia Z1 on PTCRB.

PTCRB has again listed this time 14.1.G.1.518 firmware for Xperia Z1 ( Honami ) which is seen for 4 versions of Xperia Z1 as C6943, C6906, C6903. and C6902 L39h Chinese version of Xperia Honami which earlier today appeared on TENAA as it’s network license passed.

Certified 14.1.G.1.518 firmware seems to be a lower build of earlier certified and removed 14.1.G.1.493 firmware by PTCRB. Well it seems everything has been cooked up for Xperia Honami aka Xperia Z1 and Sony is testing the final firmware build for it.

Well now as it has already been confirmed that on #4Sept the world will see the #bestofSony in form of Xperia Z1 ( Honami ), we can’t wait for it now 🙂

Now all versions of Xperia Z Ultra have a certified firmware, out of which only Xperia Z Ultra C6802 HSPA+ version is available for users and other 3 LTE version of Xperia Z Ultra are expected to come in upcoming month of September.

Xperia Z Ultra 14.1.B.1.510 firmware certified

PTCRB has certified Xperia Z Ultra 14.1.B.1.510 firmware for Xperia Z Ultra C6802 ( XL39h) HSPA+ version and LTE versions C6806, C6833, C6843.

Xperia Z Ultra 14.1.B.1.515 firmware certified

Only Xperia Z Ultra C6843 has also been certified with another 14.1.B.1.515 firmware, a higher firmware build over 14.1.B.1.510 firmware and 14.1.B.1.506 firmware.

Xperia Z Ultra C6802 HSPA+ 14.1.B.1.510 firmware update Rolled OUT – Brings X-Reality for Mobile

Both above firmware are lower build for 14.1.B.1.493 firmware which was listed a long time ago, it is expected to bring X-Reality in Xperia Z Ultra’s all variants.

Well as now for all version of Xperia Z Ultra, a firmware has been certified, it won’t take a long time in the official launch of LTE version of Xperia Z Ultra.

PTCRB REMOVES Listing of Xperia Honami C6903/C6906 14.1.G.1.493 firmware – Is Xperia Honami coming ?

5 days ago Xperia Honami C6903/C6906 appeared on PTCRB as first 14.1.G.1.493 firmware build was listed for it. It was the first time when a firmware build was certified even before the official launch of the device. Xperia Honami is still a rumor.

Just now we spotted that PTCRB has removed the listing of Xperia Honami C6903/C6906 14.1.G.1.493 firmware from it’s site and the pages where previously firmware listed showing an error “You do not have permissions to view this page”. Check below the previous 14.1.G.1.493 firmware listing and new one.

Yesterday XDA Developer DooMLoRD tweeted that Xperia Honami might be named as Xperia Z1 ( Z One ), well it is sure that Xperia Honami is on the cards and soon we will see its official launch…It looks a DooMLoRD’s tweet triggered something and with the removal of Xperia Honami listing, surely something is cooking up.

But what this predicts ? PTCRB removing the listing of Xperia Honami firmware…Is it because, 14.1.G.1.493 firmware was listed even before the launch of phone or there is another reason behind this…Existemce of Xperia Honami still remains a mystery 🙂 What do you think on this…

PTCRB REMOVES Listing of Xperia Honami C6903/C6906 14.1.G.1.493 firmware – Is Xperia Honami coming ?

Dated 15 August, PTCRB listed first initial 14.1.G.1.493 firmware build for Xperia Honami C6903 European LTE version and the C6906 North American LTE version. Rumors are there that Xperia Honami i1 may be announced at Sony’s meet at IFA 2013 in Berlin but the first 14.1.G.1.493 firmware build is certified before the launch of Xperia Hoanmi, strange firmware certified before its launch.

Well one thing is certainly clear that Xperia Honami is not a rumor now, this device is soon about to come and we will definitely see it’s launch in a few weeks ahead. Yesterday a White Xperia Honami was snapped, comparing it with Xperia Z and iPhone 5.

PTCRB Certified Xperia J St26i, St26a 11.2.A.0.33 firmware update

Last update on Xperia J was 11.2.A.0.31 firmware back in May end and just now another 11.2.A.0.33 firmware has been certified for Xperia J on PTCRB site. At present Xperia J is on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean 11.2.A.0.31 firmware.

PTCRB has certified 11.2.A.0.33 firmware for both Xperia J variants St26i and St26a, it seems to be a minor bug fixing update over the previous 11.2.A.0.31 firmware.

Like last time when 11.2.A.0.31 firmware was certified, it rolled in next 4 days, we are expecting the same for this new 11.2.A.0.33 firmware build also.
