[ REVIEW ] Xperia Z1 Leather Flip Case from Noreve

Today we have brought another leather flip case for review from Noreve, exclusively for Xperia Z1. In past we have reviewed leather flip cases for Xperia Z, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia SP and Xperia ZR from Noreve and one of the finest leather quality we have seen in the cases manufactured by them, it’s just superb. We will be reviewing two different cases for Xperia Z1 here in two different posts.

Xperia Z1 Leather Flip Case from Noreve, model number Tradition D is priced at 44.08€ inclusive of all taxes and ships world wide with in 24 hours free of cost. You get to design your own case if you want, choose the various color combinations and textures available. You need to pay extra 4.17€ for customization excluding default black color case. Option for gift wrapping the case is also available on paying extra 5€.

[ REVIEW ] Xperia Z1 Leather Flip Case from Noreve

As usual it came in black and red box combination which looks very neat for a retail box of a phone’s case. Let’s have a look at it. Case is present inside a red pouch.

Now let’s have a look at naked Xperia Z1 Leather Flip Case from Noreve. In the above pic you can see on front is has Noreve’s brand logo on bottom right corner.

At back Noreve- Saint Tropez is written in silver color and stitched in black thread.

Let’s put Xperia Z1 inside the case. Case fits perfectly. Notice the front flap’s inner lining there is Noreve embossed everywhere, surface lining is smooth so that no harm to screen is made. All bumper clips are at perfect place so that phone fits firmly inside case.

Non-magnetic closure is included in the case.

Perfect space for speaker grills in the case.

Notebook style of case. You can’t access any ports while case in on along left profile of case i.e. you can’t use magnetic charging dock DK31 or EC21 charging cable while this case is on.

Opening for 3.5mm headphone jack in the case. Do note that there is no opening for hearing speaker on front flap which means if you use the phone for call while case on then hearing sound will be very low as what we faced.

While case in on, you may still be able to access the power button, volume rocker keys, SIM card slot and external camera key on right profile of Xperia Z1.

Perfect camera opening in the case without any obstruction for LED flash light. An opening for secondary microphone is also provided at top.

Noreve logo is embossed in whole inner lining of front flap.

Can be used as a back stand.

Cons

Absence of hearing speaker slot in front flap.
Some users may find it a bit expensive but it’s a quality product you must admit.

Xperia ZR Leather Flip Case fits on both Xperia ZR C5502 and C5503, though we tested it with our Xperia ZR C5502. It comes in red and black nice cardbox, Noreve has changed the logo design in this new stock. Case comes inside a red pouch.

Lets have a look at the naked Xperia ZR Leather Flip Case from Noreve. On the bottom right you find the traditional logo of Noreve, no slot for hearing speaker at top and stitched from side in black thread to give a look like notebook.

Plain leather texture is seen on front flip cover.

On back side of cover, “Noreve – Saint Tropez” is embossed in silver color. At bottom protective speaker grills are provided for the external speaker and cover is cut from the top where camera sensor and LED flash light is positioned.

Let’s have a look at the Sony Xperia Z Ultra Leather Case by Noreve. Case comes in balck-red box inside which you will find a red pouch which contains the case. Packaging is done so beautifully that it will look like a jewel is inside it 🙂

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Leather Case by Noreve is stitched with the same color thread as like the color of the case. “Half-moon and a dot” as a brand identification mark steel logo is embedded on the bottom right corner of the case. ( Excuse please below pic is posted upside down ).

It is a flip notebook style case and “Noreve” logo it embossed everywhere on the inner sides of the both flaps.

At the back side of Sony Xperia Z Ultra Leather Case by Noreve, a hole for camera lens opening is there and all ports like USB flap, headphone jack and speaker grill are fairly accessible.

Noreve St.Tropez is embossed in silver color on the back of case.

Already using two cases from Noreve, we just the love the quality of leather they use to make the cases, perfect it. Don’t wash it using water although you can use some leather cleaning liquid.

Pros

Leather quality very good.
All ports accessible on phone.
Light weight.
Very durable for daily usage.
Hand made stitched Italian leather case, life time warranty 🙂

Cons

Very costly but quality has it’s cost. The prices are mentioned with all taxes included. So with the prices you have to remove 20% so it is 40€ .
Scratch marks appears on leather stuff if handled rough. But that is user fault only.
Leather smell comes for some days. But it’s normal as real leather smells obviously.

We have also used leather cases from Roxfit also, the quality of leather case from Noreve is the best, definitely premium.
