Sony unveiled Xperia XA, Xperia X, and Xperia X Performance at MWC 2016. Xperia “X” series smartphone is the new lineup from Sony Mobile for year 2016. Sony Xperia XA features MediaTek MT6755 processor (64-bit Octa core) powered by 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage along with micro-SD card capability upto 200 GB. It will have both dual and single SIM variant (both nano SIM). It weighs 137.4 grams, 143.6 x 66.8 x 7.9mm in dimension.

It features 5″ 720p display (Mobile BRAVIA engine 2) with Super Vivid mode. It will be available in white, graphite black, lime gold and rose gold color. Sony Xperia XA comes with 1/3” 13 MP rear Exmor RS for mobile sensor (Hybrid AF) and 8 MP front camera Sony Exmor R for mobile sensor (Auto-Focus, Wide angle lens [88 degree]). It comes with 2300 mAh battery and LTE connectivity.

Sony launched two mid-range Xperia “X” series smartphones at MWC 2016 viz. Xperia XA and Xperia X where Xperia XA features stunning 5″ edge-to-edge display (720p HD). Sony also introduced Xperia X Performance at MWC 2016.

Sony Xperia “X” series smartphones comes with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology which will increase the battery lifespan upto 800 cycles before it starts loosing its capacity.

Sony launches Xperia X, Xperia X Performance, Xperia XA at MWC 2016

Sony Mobile has officially unveiled its first Xperia “X” series smartphones today at MWC 2016 viz. Xperia X, Xperia X Performance, and Xperia XA. Sony has redefined design, camera, and battery in their new series of smartphones.

Sony’s all-new Predictive Hybrid Autofocus in Xperia X and Xperia X Performance matches with what is available in Sony’s α cameras. Each of Xperia “X” series smartphone features curved glass display.

Not only Sony’s new “X” series smartphone comes with two day battery life, Sony has also incorporated Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology which will increase the life span of battery.

Qnovo claims that now new Xperia “X” series smartphones will increase the battery lifespan upto 800 charge cycles before they start to loose capacity (Forbes).

Sony Xperia X

Sony Xperia X features Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor (64-bit) powered by 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage along with micro-SD card capability upto 200 GB.

It will have both dual and single SIM variant (both nano SIM). Dual SIM variant will feature 64 GB flash memory. It weighs 153 grams, 69.4 x 142.7 x 7.9mm in dimension. It features 5″ 1080p display (TRILUMINOS Display for Mobile, Dynamic Contrast Enhancement) with X-Reality for mobile. It will be available in white, graphite black, lime gold and rose gold color.

Sony Xperia X comes with 23 MP rear camera (1/2.3” Exmor RS for mobile sensor, Predictive Hybrid AF, 24mm Wide Angle G Lens F2.0) and 13MP front camera (1/3” Exmor RS for mobile sensor, 22mm Wide Angle Lens F2.0). It comes with 2620 mAh battery and LTE connectivity.

It will have both dual and single SIM variant (both nano SIM). It weighs 5.8 oz., 2.8 x 5.7 x 0.3 in. in dimension. It features 5″ 1080p display (TRILUMINOS Display for Mobile, Dynamic Contrast Enhancement) with X-Reality for mobile. It will be available in white, graphite black, lime gold and rose gold color.

Sony Xperia X comes with 23 MP rear camera (1/2.3” Exmor RS for mobile sensor, Predictive Hybrid AF, 24mm Wide Angle G Lens F2.0, Quick launch < 0.03 sec.) and 13MP front camera (1/3” Exmor RS for mobile sensor, 22mm Wide Angle Lens F2.0, Quick launch < 0.03 sec.). It comes with 2700 mAh battery and LTE connectivity.

Sony also introduced Xperia Ear and RM-X7BT in-car Bluetooth commander device at MWC 2016 and featured The Xperia Projector concept and The Xperia Agent concept.

Sony Xperia codenamed PP10 pic leaked – Coming at MWC 2016

Just 24 hours before Sony’s press conference at MWC 2016, pic of a new Xperia device codenamed as “PP10” has been leaked, courtesy of @evleaks. By looks it seems a mid range device.

Sony Xperia PP10 features fingerprint sensor similar to Xperia Z5, as no port opening is present on right hand side of phone, it may feature one opening only (both for SD card and nano SIM card) on left side.

As seen in pic, device features brushed back (plastic or metal, can’t be said) and rear camera without any markings beside it. Sony Xperia PP10 is expected to mark its appearance at Sony’s MWC 2016 press conference today at 8.30 CET (1 PM IST).

Whether we will see Sony’s new flagship series at MWC 2016, still remains a mystery.

Sony’s MWC 2016 Press conference on February 22nd at 08:30 CET – Media Invites sent

Sony Mobile is now sending media invites for their Mobile World Congress press conference which is scheduled to take place on February 22nd at 08:30 CET, Barcelona.

Recently Sony had their CES 2016 press conference where no new Xperia smartphone was revealed and as per last year’s trend we can expect a new Xperia to be revealed at MWC 2016.
