Xperia Keyboard 8.0.A.0.100 app – Bug fixing stability update

Sony Keyboard app has got a new 8.0.A.0.100 version update over the older 8.0.A.0.80 version. It is a minor bug fixing stability update. You need minimum Android 4.4+ running on your device to install the app.

Xperia Keyboard now comes with pre-installed themes just like Google Gboard. Xperia Keyboard settings are now adapted to the Multi-Window feature that’s introduced with Android.

Install BlackBerry Priv Keyboard on Lollipop running devices

BlackBerry entered Android smartphone market by introducing “BlackBerry Priv”, its first Android smartphone (with slider keyboard). BlackBerry is trying to regain its status in the smartphone industry by adapting to Android, it seems.

As BlackBerry Priv is out, so its various apps have been ported for other Android smartphones. Today we are sharing BlackBerry Priv keyboard. It is compatible with Android 5.0+ Lollipop running devices only. We tested it on Xperia Z5 and it worked great.

Download Google Android 5.0 Lollipop Keyboard 4.0 version for non rooted devices

Along with Google’s Android new mobile OS launch i.e. Android 5.0 Lollipop, Google has updated all its native apps in the system. Google’s Keyboard has been updated to newer version 4.0.21003.1519572 which brings material light and material dark themes in the keyboard.

You can now install Google Android 5.0 Lollipop Keyboard 4.0 version on non rooted Android 4.0+ running devices. It is confirmed working on all non rooted Xperia devices running android 4.3+. It has inbuilt Emoji (available on android 4.4.4 ).

Download Google Android L keyboard port for Xperia and all devices

Earlier today we shared android L boot animation which can be installed on any device and now we are sharing Google Android L keyboard port which can be installed on any device ( Xperia and other devices ) courtesy of XDA user bejunk. Google has changed the keyboard layout to a material design color scheme including blue and white.

Google Android L keyboard port can be installed on any rooted device. You can use this keyboard besides your current keyboard. You get the new emoji icons, new color themes and more flexible and fluid keyboard. Gesture swiping input is working great. We tested this keyboard on our Xperia Z1.

How to Install Google Android L keyboard port ?

Manual Installation

Download the below mentioned file and extract LatinImeGoogle.apk and libjni_latinimegoogle.so files from it.

Keyboard version : 3.1.20003.1236599

Download Android_L_Google_Keyboard.zip

Move LatinImeGoogle.apk file to system/app folder – Set permissions as rw- r– r–
Move libjni_latinimegoogle.so file to system.lib folder – Set permissions as rw- r– r– and reboot.

After rebooting, go to settings > personalization > language and input > choose Google Android L Keyboard and set it as default keyboard.
