How to Install ?

Download the Xperia Z Superior Auto Mode flashable zip from given below link.

Download SUPAUTO2.zip I 2.30 MB

  1. Download the above zip file.
  2. Copy it to your phone SD card / internal memory.
  3. Reboot in recovery.
  4. Flash the zip file in recovery. Done 🙂

Above mode is tested in Xperia SL, working great with Xperia Z camera apks 🙂

In case of Black Screen Bug, if faced

In case you are getting a black screen sometimes in while using your camera in Superior Auto Mode, please try installing the below given apks from Xperia Z System.

How to Enable Speed Dial Option in Xperia S, SL Jelly Bean firmware ?

Sony though simply messed up both android 4.1.2 jelly bean firmware updates 6.2.B.0.200 and 6.2.B.0.211 for Xperia S and SL yet there are so many good things about it also. Sony missed a lot many features which should have been their in both jelly bean updates for Xperia S and SL as what users were expecting that they may get the same UI of Xperia Z.

NFC Bug fixing Xperia S,SL Jelly Bean Update coming in Week 28 of July

Well it looks Sony Mobile Support is listening to the users now, many users are reporting about the bugs which are present in the Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 and 6.2.B.0.211 firmware. As per now it is hinted that a new Xperia S LT26i and Xperia SL L26ii Jelly Bean update is about to roll fixing NFC bug issue

Xperia S, SL Jelly Bean – NFC Bug Fixing Update in Week 28 of July

Users are reporting that while using NFC on Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 and 6.2.B.0.211 firmware nothing happens after “touch to beam” option. Well on reply to this, Sony Xperia Support Member “Johan” replied that a new NFC bug fixing update will be rolling out in the Week 28 of July i.e during the period 8 July 2013 to 14 July.

Main bugs in Xperia S, SL Jelly Bean  6.2.B.0.200 and 6.2.B.0.211 firmware

  • 1080p full HD resolution video capture lags a lot, though 720p HD Video mode is working fine.
  • Battery Drain and Heating is a serious issue. Battery is draining at 2x speed as compared to ICS for many users. Phone gets heats up to 45-48C in 15 minutes of continuous usage. Though official support claiming that battery stabilizes after a  week but nothing like that happened.
  • 2G Mobile Data connectivity issue. On 2G mode mobile data runs very slow, we are able to connect to internet but no able to download or surf anything. Error 927 pops up on Google Play disallowing us to download anything.
  • Wi-Fi issues, people are not able to connect over Wi-Fi. Either the Wi-Fi don’t detect any router of if it does you are not able to connect over it. Though Wi-Fi issue resolved for us after doing factory data reset.

Well in case we want to tell you that Sony Xperia Support has looked to “2G Mobile Data connectivity issue” and it is hopefully fixed in upcoming updates as we can by seeing the response from official Sony Xperia Support member.

Another minor bug is that, whenever battery is low to 14%, Xperia S, SL users on Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 and 6.2.B.0.211 firmware gets a notification of “Switch to Stamina Mode for power management” but actually Xperia S and SL doesn’t have any Stamina Mode. So it’s a minor bug, warning should be switching on to “Extended battery Mode”.

Well Sony Xperia Support made it clear that Xperia S and SL on Jelly Bean will not be supporting Stamina Mode ever confirmed.

No Stamian Mode for Xperia S and SL on Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 and 6.2.B.0.211 firmware Confirmed.

As per now many answers have been cleared by these statements by official Sony Xperia Support. Well we are now looking forward to 28 week of July for the upcoming update and seeing which bugs will be fixed or not.

There may be some more phones supported, do check in the supported phone list in the Flash Tool, if your device is not there, add it manually 😛

  • Download the Flash tool on your PC and install it. Let’s say you have installed it on folder named “C:\Flashtool”. Open the folder and find the folder named “drivers”, look for program “Flashtool-drivers” as you can find below.

  • Now run the program “Flashtool-drivers” as Admin. As soon as it opens, check under option “”Select components to install” and find the phone for which you want to flash the ftf file. Suppose you want to flash files for Xperia P, then we will tick mark the option “Xperia P, U and Sola Drivers”, “Flashmode drivers” and “Fastboot drivers” to install the concerned drivers of the phone. Click the “install” button and wait till drivers are installed on your PC. Check image screenshot below.

  • Now as soon drivers installation is finished. On your PC, navigate back to “C:\Flashtool” and in the folder named “firmwares”, please paste the downloaded ftf file for your concerned phone firmware.
  • Open “FlashTool.exe” file from folder “C:\Flashtool”. As soon as you open it, check written “Device disconnected at the end” in dialog box. Check image.

  • Switch off your phone,wait for 30 seconds, now connect your USB cable of phone to PC and the other end on your phone’s USB port. While inserting USB cable in your phone’s port, hold “Volume Down” button and then insert cable. You will see green light in notification LED which means your phone has been connected successfully in flashmode. See below, you will find “Device connected in flashmode” written in the Flash tool window.

  • “Notice the Black Lightning icon in the top left corner”, Click on it, as soon as you click, it will as k you to choose from two options listed. Choose option “flashmode”. See below.

Follow next Step carefully, any damage caused to your phone will be your responsibility. We are not at all responsible for that.

  • Now from “Select source folder” option please navigate to “C:\Flashtool\firmwares” and choose the firmware ftf file which you pasted in this folder. After doing this from option “Select a firmware” choose your listed firmware ftf file and check mark the option “Wipe Data”. Do check mark other options if you want, you must know what they do, don’t do anything stupid here please. Under option “Misc” , check mark the option “No Final verification” if you are on Android 4.0.4 ICS Stock version. Click Ok, then. See below image.

  • As soon as you click OK, Flashtool will now prepare files for flashing which you can see on the Flash Tool open window panel, check below.

  • As soon as files are prepared, the selected firmware ftf will be installed on your Xperia device.

Update Tutorial – Installation Guide

1 – We need to download the Xperia FLASHTOOL for flashing the ftf file.

Download Flashtool V0.9.10.1 I 109 MB I [Direct Link]

2 – As soon as you download Xperia FLASHTOOL. Install it on your PC, it will take 417 MB space on your PC. Let us say downloaded file location on your PC is “C:\Flashtool”. Go to this folder, and in the “drivers” folder find file “Flashtool-drivers” as shown below.

3 – Run the program Flashtool-drivers as “Administrator” . In the scroll box of option “Select components to install”, Do “Check Mark” the options > “Xperia P, U and Sola Drivers”, “Flashmode drivers” and “Fastboot drivers”. Total space required would be 22.1 MB. Click on “Install” option. Check below for screenshot.

4 – Wait for the drivers to install on your PC. As soon as the drivers have been installed successfully. Go to  “C:\Flashtool” and in the folder “firmwares” paste the downloaded Xperia P LT22_6.2.A.0.400_World Generic.ftf in that folder.

5 – Now run the main “FlashTool.exe” file from the folder, as soon as it open you see written “Device disconnected at the end”. Check image below.

6 – Now Switch off your Xperia P. Now after waiting for 30 seconds, connect the USB cable to your PC and now pressing “Volume Down” button connect USB’s other half to your Xperia P (Flashing key for Xperia P). As soon as your phone is connected you will see “Green” light blinking in the notification LED this is called booting into Flash Mode. Now you will see as “Device connected in FLASHMODE” in the screen of Xperia Flashtool. Check screenshot below.

7 – See in the top left corner above you will find a black thunder icon, click on it, choose “Flash Mode” and navigate to folder to select the ftf file you placed in “firmwares” folder above in step 4.

8 – Click OK, the Jelly Bean 6.2.A.0.400 firmware ftf file will be flashed on your Xperia P now. As soon as flashing is done, screen says “Finish”. Disconnect your phone from PC and reboot.

NOTE : The very first reboot after flashing will be very slow, later it will be stabilized.

Update Tutorial – Installation Guide

1 – Open SUS. Switch off your Xperia P. Now after waiting for 30 seconds, connect the USB cable to your PC and now pressing “Volume Down” button connect USB’s other half to your Xperia P (Flashing key for Xperia P). As soon as your phone is connected you will see “Green” light blinking in the notification LED i.e. is called booting into Flash Mode. SUS will now check the connected phone and will show you up as a notification as shown below.

2- Now as soon as your Xperia P is detected by SUS, you will see a software update notification just like below.

4 – Now SUS will download the 6.2.A.0.400 firmware update file which is of whooping 581.8 MB size, just sit back and relax to let it finish.

5 – As soon as downloading is finished, SUS will apply 6.2.A.0.400 firmware update on your Xperia P.

Switch on your phone after installation is finished, first reboot is generally slow.

Well let us tell you Xperia P 6.2.A.0.400 update is also available Over The Air and you can install it in your Phone alone via Wi-Fi (recommended). We recommend you have high speed Internet connection like 3G or a high bandwidth Wi-Fi connection.

1 – Go to “Update Center” app in your phone.

Unofficial Sony Xperia S39h Model Photos Leaked – Rumors

Looks like Xperia devices are raining this year, another Xperia device Sony Xperia S39h model photos have been leaked online today on a Chinese site. Sony has already added so many devices this year to their 2013 Xperia portfolio and now we saw another Sony Xperia S39h in pics. A few days back we saw Xperia A SO-043 photos and specification on FCC now Xperia S39h.

Looking at the white Sony Xperia S39h leaked photos it looks just similar in design to chinese version Xperia L S36h. You see Sony Xperia S39h seems to be the same in design as Sony used for new Xperia 2013 lineup. It has the same “power” button as seen in Xperia Z and ZL. Front camera at the top right side with Sony logo in the middle. Xperia logo is present at the back of phone. Microphone just at the bottom of phone. Seems to be a bit longer screen than usual 4.3inch screen. Edges as similar to Xperia S and SL. On the left side has a micro-USB port. Speaker is present at the back on bottom side. Volume keys at right side.

LED flash is on the back side. Position of rear camera is also different from the position of rear camera in the Xperia L, so is the position of mounted sensors. Headphone jack position is also different.
