Google released Android 7.0 Nougat update for public on Nexus devices and now it is rolling globally. For the time being only following news devices will be soon getting the update notification viz. Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C and General Mobile 4G (Android One).

Both OTA and Factory images zip files are now available for download from Google officially. If you flash the OTA zip file then your device will get be updated to Android 7.0 without wiping any data but while flashing factory images, a full wipe is done (fresh installation).

New features like multi-window view, over 1500 emoji, multi locale language settings, quick switch between apps, Doze (battery saver feature along with new data saver feature), custom quick settings, notification direct reply, bundled notifications, display size, seamless updates, file-based encryption, direct boot, etc. will come on the devices getting update.

Download the concerned Android 7.0 Nougat Factory image file for your Nexus device. Your device must have an unlocked bootloader to carry out the flashing process.

  • Nexus Player (fugu) – Download NRD90M build
  • Pixel C (ryu) – Download NRD90M build
