Yesterday Google unveiled Android 5.0 Lollipop as the newer version of its mobile OS and we were speculating which Xperia devices will get Android 5.0 Lollipop and now Sony has officially come up with a statement which we were expecting.
Sony will officially update whole Xperia “Z” series on Android 5.0 Lollipop as mentioned by Sony on their blog today. Android 5.0 Lollipop update roll out will start from latest flagship devices Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 from early 2015.

Sony has not mentioned any other device yet which will be getting Android 5.0 Lollipop update which brings doubt whether Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia T3, Xperia C3, Xperia E3, Xperia M2 will get or not.
Sony has already ended support for Xperia S, SL, T, V, TX, SP, C, L, M, E, so there is no chance for any further android update.

I’m not buying the Z3 Compact until it ships with Android 5.0
When 5.0 will be rolling out, Xperia Z3 will naturally be coming with Android 5.0. When I bought Xperia Z1 Compact few months ago, It came with Android 4.4.2 out of the box,whereas the release version was Android 4.3. I think same will happen with Z3 for which you are waiting for.

Just yesterday I sent a mail to the sony mobile team regarding upgrade from Kitkat to Lollipop of my Xperia Z1 Compact, and today I saw from the above post the whole ‘Z’ family is getting Android Lollipop….JUST FEELING AWESOME…Sony knows how to please their customers 😀
It Too Sad to hear that sony had announced Anroid L 5.0 only for Z series only.
It should also come up for T2, T3, C3, Etc..

Sony should update all the phones to the latest version which are above Rs.15000…
but they have already dumped a few like xperia t tx v s sl ion which were in range of 25-30K RS
So dont buy sony mobile if they only happy one type of customer……………………..
This is not Fair Sony wouldn’t have done this.. let me remind you one thing Sony.. you have capture a large share in market not just because of a single Customer to whom you are satisfying.. Remember this if the customers has rise you in the market then there is no doubt they can pull u back.. Customers are the king of market because of them you are in market.. So always try to satisfy your customers as a whole..

My experience with sony has proved that it is a shi2y company in supporting mobile phones. When you buy a sony mobile phone, it’s better to not expect serious updates or online support.

Sony has not said any word on it yet. Now they are moving with 5.1, Either they should give it 5.1 directly or they will not at all give it and will shut the support for T3. Sony did the same with Xperia SP.
I strongly hope Sony gives future updates to T3, it is a wonderful phone.
