Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet recently saw 17.1.A.2.36 firmware certification on PTCRB a week ago which is android 4.4.2 version, is available for download now. Previously certified firmware 17.1.A.1.2 ftf is already posted and the new apps and features ports have come up. Just now Xperia Z2 17.1.A.2.36 firmware ftf commercial and journalist version has been leaked and it works great on prototype Xperia Z2.
Sony is currently upgrading the retail android 4.4.2 firmware for Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet that’s why we are seeing so many new firmware certifications since both devices officially unveiled at MWC 2014. Below posted Xperia Z2 17.1.A.2.36 firmware ftf is not a retail firmware still it will work on all retail Xperia Z2.

Above posted 17.1.A.2.36 firmware ftf will not work on any device other than Xperia Z2 so don’t ask for it.
Media apps have been updated with a slight increase in the last digit of version number such as it has new Walkman 8.1.A.0.7, Album 5.4.A.0.24, Movies 6.1.A.0.18 version. Camera apps have also been updated, new AR Effect 2.0.8 app version is spotted.

Hi anurag do u know the release date of xperia z2 in india ? price may be around 50k ?
S5 is priced at 45.5K INR officially, I am expecting Z2 to be priced in between 43999 to 45999, I guess it would be 44999 INR.
No release date, Sony has closed the Z2 pre-orders in Europe, some delay has hit Sony now, it seems those who pre-ordered early will get in time rest will have to wait till April end or May starting.
So no dates can be speculated right now, I left a mail to Sony India, they said no dates can be told right now.
