As we all know Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet have been announced by Sony at MWC and pre-orders for both have been started by Sony in Europe through their official online stores. As promised by Sony both Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet will be launched with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box and here comes the first firmware certification for both devices on PTCRB page which clearly shows that Sony is ready with KitKat firmware now.

Android 4.4.2 KitKat 17.1.A.0.504 firmware have been certified on PTCRB for both devices following a change over first 17.1.A.0.391 firmware build certified a few days ago before the official announcement of both devices at MWC 2014. 17.1.A.0.504 firmware has been certified for both LTE and HSPA+ versions of handsets.

17.1.A.0.504 firmware will bring many news features on Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet which will feature a new Xperia KitKat UI which we saw in previous leaks.

We expect Sony to roll Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z1S soon as promised by them. We will keep you posted as soon as we get any info on Sony’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat update rolling.
