4 days ago Sony hit android 4.2. Jelly Bean to Xperia ZL C650X variants with Jelly Bean 10.3.A.0.423 firmware and now Xperia Z C6603 has been reported with the same Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean 10.3.A.0.423 firmware update 🙂 Good News finally Sony brought it out fast. Xperia Z Jb .423 update confirmed in Spain, Hong Kong.

[ Update – 25 June ] HSPA+ Version Xperia Z C6602 has got an update in Taiwan also. Just now we have seen users reporting to us as they got update notification in Uruguay. Still no update seen in UK region.

[ Update – 27 June ] Update confirmed in India.

Superior Auto mode takes better pictures, indoor locations.
No Screenshot option in power menu, means now you have to take screenshots by the combination of “Power + Volume down” button.
New Lock screen lags a bit, takes time to load.
Camera is loading slow, taking around 5-7 seconds.

      It will do, as soon as it will come to your region, otherwise you need to flash the ftf file.

In india got the latest update now the version for me is 10.3.A.0.423 😀
Though 1 bad thing screenshot option which used to come while holding power button is gone, now press volume down + power key to do the same, i m not liking it though 🙁

there is still nothing is South Africa, as per norm we are the last to get anything from any network or manufacture.

  Buddy you can do one thing that, flash the European version file, it has English language that’s what needed for India and after flashing you can re-update your phone via SUS. Then you will get the Wordl-Brand ftf file automatically.

the link Download C6603_10.3.A.0.423_Generic ES.ftf I 0.7 GB actually diverts to the Generic HK.

How would one extract the ES rar files? software etc?

Anyway I flashed the HK firmware on my xperia z in the UK with the flashtool on the day you put it up

and guess what, I forgot to tick the USB debugging and enable Unknown sources boxes……

been a few days now, phone is working fine 🙂 still gets a bit hot though.

if you get hold of UK generic, can you post and thanks for the downloads!

  I guess C6603 is not supported in India, so there won’t be any update :/

Hey Anurag, I know its not the region i should ask questions. but am in a grave danger that’s why am gonna ask few questions mate. I updated my Xperia Z C6602 with C6602 firmware. The firmware name was “C6603_10.3.1.A.1.10_Orange FR.ftf” When i re-boot the phone after the flashing process the Orange company boot image loads up and then something like saying this “FACTORY STARTUP SERVICE-Please wait for POWER OFF button” loads up. I cant click on anything nor i can chnage the language as its in France language. Can i downgrade back to 4.1.2 and get back my precious Z back ? Or can i just re-flash the C6602 from this thread ??

  First of all buddy there was no need of installing that firmware as a new updated .67 firmware rolled out for xz.
  
  Yes buddy that firmware was especially for orange france carrier it was mentioned already.
  
  What you should do now :-
  
  Download .67 firmware ftf file for your xperia z, latest version
  Then flash the ftf file.
  
  Why 4.1.2 ? Xz is on 4.2.2 ?

Hmmm mine one says 4.1.2 lol. And yea I know I shouldnt have updated from other site. Shud have came here first lol 😐
But hey I have got my Xz back just re-flashed some how to 4.1.2 and now am thinking of upgrading it. But i dont know with which firmware should i do it. can u give me the link for the new C6602 update mate ?

  Connect your XZ to PC Companion and check for firmware updates, if available then update it officially.
  
  If PCC not showing any update then you update to latest Xperia Z Android 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware.
