Sony has rolled a new firmware update for Xperia TX LT29i in form of 9.2.A.1.215 firmware, confirmed rolling in Hong Kong region. Last firmware spotted on Xperia TX was 9.2.A.1.205 firmware, a bug fixing update over original android 4.3 update. Sony has not updated the new firmware and its changelog on Xperia TX software page on its website.

9.2.A.1.215 firmware update is available over PC Companion, keeps Xperia TX on android 4.3 only. No specific changelog is available for the time being. Slight change in kernel and baseband is noticed. It seems 9.2.A.1.215 firmware is still seeding and soon it will be available for downloading globally.

Sony rolled much awaited android 4.3 on Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V in form of 9.2.A.0.295 firmware which brought a lot many bugs with itself besides some cool new features. We have seen 9.2.A.1.199 firmware bug fixing update rolling on Xperia T and Xperia TX and now comes another 9.2.A.1.205 firmware update for both handsets which is not certified on PTCRB yet.

Xperia TX LT29i 9.2.A.1.199 firmware update rolling

Xperia T and Xperia V saw 9.2.A.1.199 firmware getting certified for them at end of Feb while nothing was certified for Xperia TX but something surprising came today, a user got 9.2.A.1.199 firmware update notification on his Xperia TX LT29i. We checked via update checker app and found now new update being rolled for his phone customization, it seems Sony has either rolled it for some particular regions or it is still seeding as 9.2.A.1.199 firmware was certified for Xperia T and Xperia V so it may end up rolling later on.

9.2.A.1.199 firmware keeps on Xperia TX on android 4.2.2, seems a minor bug fixing update only. 9.2.A.1.199 firmware update came as OTA notification of 8.3 MB. So try it on your Xperia TX you may also have got the 9.2.A.1.199 firmware update notification or will get it later, keep checking it.

Just a few minutes back we saw Sony Mobile updating Android 4.3 9.2.A.0.295 firmware for Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V on their product page and just now we have got confirmation form Sony’s official blog post that they have started rolling Android 4.3 9.2.A.0.295 firmware for Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V, they also included that a few days back they started rolling Xperia SP Android 4.3 12.1.A.0.266 firmware update.

9.2.A.0.295 firmware brings android 4.3 officially on Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V and as the update is phased as per Sony’s statement they are seeding it now. Soon Android 4.3 9.2.A.0.295 firmware will hit globally till then keep checking for an update notification of Android 4.3 9.2.A.0.295 firmware update in PC Companion.

Android 4.3 Testing completed, Awaiting rollout for Xperia SP and TX, says Vodafone Australia

Another info regarding android 4.3 rollout for Xperia SP and TX has come up from weekly software updates info from Vodafone Australia, they claims “Android 4.3 Testing completed, Awaiting rollout“. Some times back Vodafone AU says testing is in progress and then we saw a new firmware getting certified for Xperia SP, T, V and TX on PTCRB, may be that’s the final build which will be rolled out anytime now.

At present for Xperia T and Xperia V Android 4.3 9.2.A.0.295 firmware is the latest build certified on PTCRB and for Xperia SP Android 4.3 12.1.A.0.266 firmware is the latest build which should be released by Sony as the already said in a tweet it will be rolled at late Jan / Early Feb 2014. Feb’s 1st week is already over now.

Recently we saw android 4.3 firmware leaking for Sony Xperia SP as 12.1.A.0.256 firmware and for Xperia T as 9.2.A.0.278 firmware, android 4.3 firmware for both devices have been certified on PTCRB website but no certification has come up for Xperia TX yet. EXR Team has come up with so claimed Xperia TX LT29i Android 4.3 9.2.A.1.131 firmware ROM with a build number different from Xperia T and Xperia V.

As per EXR team 9.2.A.1.131 firmware will land on Xperia TX as android 4.3 and features same UI, Sony smart camera app and downloadable Xperia themes which we saw in android 4.3 update for Xperia Z family members. Until 9.2.A.1.131 firmware certification appears on PTCRB or any info from Sony it is hard to say that this firmware will be rolled out officially on Xperia TX.

Only 4 devcies are left without android 4.3 update as mentioned by Sony viz. Xperia SP, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V. A while ago we saw new android 4.3 12.1.A.0.256 firmware Certified for Xperia SP again, previous build certified was 12.1.A.0.253. On 31st December we saw Android 4.3 9.2.A.0.276 firmware getting certified for Xperia T and Xperia V and nothing for Xperia TX yet. But there has been revision to previous certified build for Xperia T and Xperia V.

We just spotted new Android 4.3 9.2.A.0.278 firmware certified for Xperia T and Xperia V and nothing for Xperia TX yet on PTCRB website. It seems this revised build is a bug fixing update of previous build and should come soon anytime now. Have a look at the certification below.

At present Xperia T and Xperia V are on android 4.1.2 9.1.A.1.145 firmware.

9.2.A.0.276 firmware changes the build from 9.1.A.X.XXX to 9.2.A.X.XXX which clearly indicates a significant major update i.e. Android 4.3 as promised by Sony. To our surprise no android4.3 firmware is certified for Xperia TX yet on PTCRB website.
