Sony listed OLD Keyboard Skins for Japanese Xperia keyboard on Play Store

Sony Xperia keyboard for Japanese is known as POBox Plus which is compatible with customized Xperia Keyboard themes. Earlier no Xperia Keyboard themes were available on Play Store but it seems Sony listed 34 “old” Keyboard skins on Play Store recently.

Keyboard Skins for Japanese Xperia keyboard works with Android 4.4+ running Xperia devices, all download skins are available from keyboard settings.

Install Xperia Lollipop Keyboard 6.6.B.0.11 from Xperia Z3 Android 5.0.2 update with emojis

Earlier today Sony rolled Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact in form of 23.1.A.0.690 firmware which brought new features like material design UI with new Xperia Themes and wallpapers, multi-user support, apps to sd card feature etc.

Sony’s stock and media apps have been updated to the new version and Xperia Keyboard 6.6.B.0.11 version is now available for installation on rooted handsets running Android Lollipop ROMs like CM12/AOSP 5.x.x/STOCK ROM and on Xperia handsets with Android 4.x (working with 4.4.4, compatibility with others unknown)

Instructions: Download the flashable zip. Flash in recovery. Do backup your original keyboard before flashing.

NOTE: If flashable zip is not working on your device try the manual installation.

For Lollipop ROMs use the below link to download. To manually install, extract the downloaded zip file, put “textinput-tng.apk” file in system/app folder, set permissions rw- r– r– and reboot.

How to install Xperia Lollipop Keyboard from Android 5.0.2

For 4.x+ ROMs use the below link to download. To manually install, extract the downloaded zip file, put “textinput-tng.apk” file in system/app folder, set permissions rw- r– r– and put “libswiftkeysdk-java.so” file system/lib, set permissions rw- r– r– and reboot. ( Check this link for the steps to move apps into system/folder and how to set permissions rw- r– r–).

Download Xperia Keyboard 6.4.A.0.6 available from Play Store

Yet another app from Sony is now available at  Play Store “Xperia Keyboard version 6.4.A.0.6”; till now we have seen so many apps from Sony on Play Store especially Camera apps ( which were exclusively seen on Xperia Z1 ). If you own an Xperia smartphone, Xperia Keyboard app comes as pre-installed as stock keyboard app. At present Xperia Keyboard app version is 6.3.A.0.18 on android 4.4.2 KitKat update from Sony.

Xperia Keyboard 6.4.A.0.6 can be downloaded from Play Store now, currently working on android 4.4.2 running Xperia devices only. Xperia Keyboard is the default Xperia keyboard app for all languages except Chinese, Korean, Japanese. Xperia Keyboard 6.4.A.0.6  is working fine on Xperia Z1, Z Ultra, Z1 Compact. Sony says new “Back up and Sync” features has been added in the keyboard app using your Sony Entertainment Network account.
