Sony’s new Xperia Z3+ is not only slimmer, lighter, and faster as compared to Xperia Z3 but it also have improved touchscreen drivers from Sony. Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3 both features same 1080p resolution FHD IPS LCD display with X-Reality Mobile.

In a wet touchscreen test done between Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3+ showed great improvement in terms of tracking movement on the screen.

Sony BSP60 Bluetooth Speaker promo video

Sony unveiled BSP60 Bluetooth speaker at MWC 2015 and it comes with the pretty impressive design and functions if we compare it to Sony BSP10 Bluetooth speaker but in terms of sound quality and loudness, it stands nowhere when compared to BSP10 model.

It weighs 325 grams, 100 mm in height, Bluetooth 3.0, hands-free, intelligent alarm clock, micro USB port for charging it and touch sensor buttons exclusively. Sony BSP60 has 2.5W stereo speakers.

Xperia Z3 running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Video Leaked

At present Sony Mobile might be busy with preparing Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR & Xperia Tablet Z and, on the other hand a video has been leaked showing Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update running on Xperia Z3 (D6603) exclusively.

It is believed that Xperia Z3 will feature 23.4.A.0.xxx build number (current being 23.4.A.0.248 firmware). Android 5.1.1 Lollipop 23.4.A.0.248 firmware build was also spotted running on Xperia Z2 D6503 on HandsetDetection.

New Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update will bring new animations and a shortcut allowing you to search the available Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections from the quick settings menu itself.

Sony has officially started rolling Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact which brings new material design UI. Sony has released a same 23.1.A.0.690 firmware on both devices.

Sony has officially stated that they will start rolling Android Lollipop update on other Xperia “Z” series handsets in next two weeks so users have to wait now for further announcement.

Can Xperia Z4 Tablet float ? Sony did an experiment!

Sony launched Xperia Z4 Tablet at MWC 2015 with 10.1″ 2K display (2560×1600 resolution) powered by ultra fast Snapdragon 810 Octa-Core 64 bit processor, weighing only (389g Wi-Fi / 393g LTE) and 6.1 mm slim, running Android Lollipop out of the box.

As it is one of the lightest and slimmest tablet so Sony did an experiment at Fira Montjuic in Barcelona where they tied Xperia Z4 Tablet with 6 big balloons filled with helium to check whether Xperia Z4 Tablet can float or not.

Sony WCR14 Wireless charging cover and Sony WCH10 Qi Plate for Xperia Z3 is now available officially in the market where WCR14 wireless charging cover can only be used with Xperia Z3 specifically. Xperia Z3 doesn’t support wireless charging officially so it needs a Qi plate for charging.

In the retail packing you get both Sony WCR14, WCH10 Wireless accessories inside the box ( as shown in the video ). Dimensions of WCR14 cover with Xperia Z3 inside it – 152 x 81 x 13.5 mm, weight ( without phone ) – 72 grams, weight of WCH10 plate is 51 grams. Xperia Z3 WCR14 cover is very similar to Sony Style Cover for Xperia Z2.

Sony posts a SmartBand Talk unboxing video and Xperia Z3 2 day battery test by Brownlee Boys

Sony’s latest edition to Xperia flagship Xperia Z3 is now available in market, getting sold, getting firmware update; in other words Xperia Z3 has found its way inside android smartphone market whereas on the other hand Sony is gearing up for the launch of Sony SmartWatch 3 and SmartBand Talk officially in the market.

Sony has provided a curved 1.4” e-paper display, built-in microphone and speaker. Sony SmartBand Talk SWR30 features HD Voice support with short call function enabling you to listen and talk into your caller. It has built-in accelerometer and altimeter sensor technology. SmartBand Talk SWR30 is IP68 certified ( water proof ). Connectivity options available are Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ( micro USB for charging ). There is no removable core in SmartBand Talk SWR30 but you can remove the wrist strap and connect any exchangeable SmartBand Talk Wrist Strap SWR310.

Xperia Z3, Z2, Z1 running AOSP Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM Video shown by Sony officially

Sony has come up with a video where android 5.0 Lollipop AOSP ROM is shown running on Xperia Z3, Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z1. As Google has already released the source code for android 5.0 Lollipop so Sony will be rolling the same on their all Xperia “Z” series devices from early January 2015.

Sony will soon be providing the necessary android 5.0 Lollipop binary files so that developers can start making android 5.0 ROM for unlocked Xperia devices. AOSP device configuration is already available for Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2, coming soon for Xperia Z3.

Sony is giving a chance to some Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact users to test beta version of their android 5.0 Lollipop release.

Currently program only available for Sweden users with carrier “3” ( 3Beta ), it seems a good move by the company to get an early feedback of the firmware from the customers before the official rollout begins.

Sony says Xperia Z3 is IP68 certified and water resistant and yes it is as it has been put to test number of times besides Xperia Z3 Chocolate Test, Xperia Z3 Coca Cola Test, Xperia Z3 Knife Test and Xperia Z3 Compact Milk Curd Test. Now it is time to see can Xperia Z3 stand a little bit of fire also.

In a very interesting video posted, Xperia Z3 is used as one of the ingredient to make a burger. You will see meat loaf around Xperia Z3 and then put to flames in a frying pan and finally in a burger.

Xperia Z3 Underwater unboxing video – World’s first

For the first time someone has unboxed a smartphone under the water and that smartphone is Sony’s Xperia Z3. Carphone Warehouse has come up with an Xperia Z3 Underwater unboxing video where they unboxed the phone like it is being done usually but the surrounding environment was water. Xperia Z3 is IP65/68 certified device which makes it the best water resistant device ever being produced by Sony yet.

Xperia Z3’s IP65/68 characteristics helped it getting no damage under water but surely other box accessories would have been damaged obviously. In the video you can see person taking pics under water.

Sony Mobile has officially released a teaser video which clearly shows that 3 Xperia devices probably Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will be unveiled at IFA 2014 event, Berlin on 3 Sept 2014.

Xperia Z3 Video Teaser says “The time to Demand Great is coming” with a tagline “It’s in the #XperiaDetails”. This is the first announcement by Sony before the IFA 2014 event about its upcoming devices.

Some numbers are shown in the video i.e. 07:MM:06:14, 8C:u:1:28:00, 03:06:H2:00, 03:SE:PT:14 which clearly means 3 Sept 2014; while the meaning of other number can’t be interpreted correctly for the time being.

By looking at below it is clearly visible that Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will either have 7″ or 8″ display panel.

There is also a rumor that we may see Sony SmartWatch SW3 at IFA 2014 ( but not confirmed surely at present ). We will soon share the link of live streaming for IFA 2014 Sony press conference event.
