Great news for Xperia 10 V SOG 11 users in Japan! Sony has recently rolled out a security firmware update (level updated June 1st, 2023) version 68.0.C.0.440, for Xperia 10 V smartphone. It looks like a regional Android 13 firmware release, rather than a global firmware release.

How to Update:

Updating your Xperia 10 V to the latest firmware version is a simple process. Here’s how you can do it:

Ensure that your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network and has sufficient battery charge.
Go to the Settings app on your Xperia 10 V. Go to Settings > About Phone > Check the Build Number on your device
Scroll down and tap on “System.”
Select “Software update” and then “System updates.”
If the 68.0.C.0.440 firmware update is available for your device, you will see a notification. Tap on “Download and install” to initiate the update process.

Xperia 62.0.A.3.109 Firmware update rolling for Xperia 10 III

Xperia 62.0.A.3.109 Firmware update is now rolling for Xperia 10 III (XQ-BT52) and is confirmed rolling out in the UK region on the Vodafone carrier. 62.0.A.3.109 Firmware update size is 382.2 MB and can be updated via OTA. Sony Mobile has not posted any official changelog for the update.

Xperia 62.0.A.3.109 Firmware update is the 1st August Security Patch update and brings most of the performance tweaks under the hood. We will post the detailed changelog once it is available.

Many Xperia 10 III users have reported the Green Tint Issue (and flickering) on the Xperia 10 III Display and there is no confirmation yet that 62.0.A.3.109 Firmware update brings resolution to the problem. Users are facing this issue when the brightness is low on the display, Green Tint appears on the display.

It looks Green Tine issue is still there even after updating to 62.0.A.3.109 Firmware.

To update your Xperia 10 III, tap on the Xperia Update app and download the 62.0.A.3.109 Firmware.

Sony posts prelude teaser videos ahead of Xperia Product Launch on 14th April

Sony Mobile has just posted 2 prelude teaser videos before their Xperia and other Sony products launch before 14th April 2021. As you can see from video as well under coming soon tag, Sony has marked III which is an indicator for rumoured launch of Sony Xperia 1 III (Mark 3), Xperia 10 III (Mark 3) We might also see Sony Xperia 5 III on the launch day but is in unsure for the time being.

Apart from expected Xperia Phone lineup for 2021, we might see additional products like Sony WF-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Canceling Stereo Headset and Sony LSPX-S3 Glass Sound Speaker; both recently marked their way into FCC Certification in early April this year.

A few days back Sony released the list of Xperia devices which will be getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and confirmed that its concept for Android will also get Marshmallow update and now it is rolling officially.

Sony India to hold press event on October 21 – Xperia Z5 series to be launched

Sony India is about to have a press event on October 21, at New Delhi which will probably see Xperia Z5 series handsets getting launched in India. Sony has already released Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, and Xperia Z5 Premium in many regions around the world. It is expected that India may see only Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium getting launched and might be available in November for purchase.

Sony India is sending a press invite for the above said event which says ,”Block your Date”. Earlier a month back, Sony launched Xperia M5 and Xperia C5 Ultra in India.

Sony’s Concept for Android: Marshmallow edition available for Xperia Z3 & Xperia Z3 Compact

Sony came up with its “Concept for Android” program back in July and now Concept for Android: Marshmallow edition is available for Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact users in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany.

This program is open to only first 10000 users in above mentioned regions who can show their interest by registering via Sony´s Concept for Android app.

Sony officially releases Android 6.0 Marshmallow update plan

Google has officially started rolling Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on Nexus handsets starting from today and Google Nexus 5X and 6P will be released with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Sony Mobile has officially released its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update plan for Xperia devices today but no rollout date has been mentioned yet (unlike Motorola).

Sony Mobile has confirmed officially Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the following devices for the time being: Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia C4. As we can see the first Xperia “Z” generation device Xperia Z is missing from the list along with Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia ZR, Xperia ZL and Xperia Tablet Z.

Google has introduced new features in Android 6.0 Marshmallow update like now on tap, improved battery life with features like Doze & App Standby, new app permissions model, new way to protect fingerprint sensor enabled devices.

We do hope Sony gives Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Xperia Z1 series also (more devices are expected to be added in the list later once Sony is done with updating above mentioned devices).

Earlier we saw Sony launched Style portrait effects on Play Store but app was only limited to Xperia C4, Xperia M4 Aqua, etc but now it is available for all Xperia devices which have Sony Social Smart Camera app installed (Android 4.2+).

Is Sony Lavender coming as Xperia T4 Ultra next month?

Sony’s mysterious device codenamed as “Lavender” is expected to be released as Xperia T4 Ultra next month (in August), if rumors are to be believed. Sony Lavender aka “Sony E5503″ has been spotted number of times in leaks along with the pics.

Sony Lavender is expected to feature Mediatek MT6752 64 bit Octa-Core processor and 1080p resolution. As per the leaks surfaced so far, it is expected to feature 5.5″ display, 2 GB RAM, and 13 MP camera.

If rumors come true then Xperia T4 Ultra will succeed Xperia T2 Ultra. The pics which have been seeing so far shows that it will feature a zero bezels at sides.

Sony Mobile has launched a new app named Live screen streaming which allows you to live stream anything that happens on your Xperia device’s screen on YouTube and Twitch. Sony has basically targeted that app to display game previews.

Live screen streaming app is compatible with Android 5.0 Lollipop running Xperia devices for the time being. Sony mentions not to stream anything which violates copyrights of any material.

Sony launched Voice Balloon Photo app last year and now balloon photo(beta) app has been launched at Play Store. In balloon photo(beta) app 0.1.A.0.2 version if you edit the voice recognised text on the editor, updated text is stored. Update also brings usual minor bugs fixing and performance improvements.

Sony balloon photo app allows you to put text on the photo in form of balloons by recognizing the voice of the users around the camera. You can edit the words spoken, put them in three different style options and can really give words to your beautiful pic captured.
