Sony SmartWatch 3 Android Wear 5.1.1 update rolling – Brings Wi-Fi support & Wrist Gestures

Android 5.1.1 Wear update is now finally rolling on Sony SmartWatch 3. Google first seeded Android Wear 5.1.1 update on LG watch Urbane and it has already been confirmed on LG Watch R and Asus ZenWatch. Update is confirmed rolling Russia, USA, UK.

SmartWatch 3 Android Wear 5.1.1 update is rolling in the form of build 1.1.1.1929530, Google Play Service 7.3.36. Sony SmartWatch 3 has Wi-Fi connectivity option, so now connecting SW3 to a Wi-Fi network will enable you to send messages, use apps; no matter where your phone is (it must have data connection), so no need for a permanent Bluetooth connection for pairing it.
