Sony has pushed a new 16.0.b.2.16 firmware update for Xperia C over previous 16.0.b.2.13 build, keeping Xperia C on android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for the time being. 16.0.b.2.16 firmware update is available over PC Companion only for the time being, no OTA seen yet. To update you need PC Companion remember Sony has discontinued SUS so you can’t  update via SUS.

16.0.b.2.16 firmware is confirmed in India and other Asian regions. 16.0.b.2.16 firmware is minor big fixing update only, updated by Sony on Xperia C software support page also.

yeah, the update is successful but now the camera setting lacks the “touch to focus” feature or the “focus mode”…it was disabled

also, whenever there is an update, for at least 2 apps installed on my phone, it seems Google Play sees it as if i have insufficient storage on the phone yet whenever i checked it there are plenty of storage left and it was just an update like for CM Browser which is too small and already installed on my phone but the “insufficient storage” seems popping up always. still trying to sort it out though…

Also after the update there seems to be a bug whenever I try to update other apps from the Google Play Store as it occurs there is always this notification that i have insufficient internal storage yet i checked and i have only used about 70% and it was just an update for CM Browser…and well, other apps that needs to be updated as well but the notification is for every app i want to upgrade…

There’s an update (Kitkat) for a local Android phone here in the Philippines with almost close to the specs of Xperia C and the unofficial Kitkat update though some comments reveals it was leaked official update and was wondering if Xperia C could also get the KITKAT upgrade.

Hi.. i m using xperia c frm last 8 months . i updated it to the latest firmware provided by OTA update
Heating issue is still there… Device gets heated often after 1 hrs of usage. jyst becz of heating battery drains faster but in sequence.
and yes camera quality improved wid more space of 8mp resolution.
biggest cons of this phne iz its INTERNAL MEMORY it is clearly mentioned in every site that this phn has 4GB of internal memory but many of users complained that there is only 0.98 GB present for apps n all that and 1.21GB seperate but its of no use we cant use that portion of memory i dont know why? 🙁
overall its a Good phn but really its internal storage disappoints

Hi friends! I have this phone for 2 years. In my opinion, front camera and internal memory are the several problems of these smartphone. I have a tip for those who want to continue using this device .: install the master root key and a super user software, it’s root and Works on lastest firmware available. after this I suggest you uninstall games and applications that was not possible before. Be careful, not everything can be removed. but I recommend to uninstall Google Chrome and Facebook. then reinstall and with the help of software appmaster move to the sd.
