Unexpectedly Sony has surprised us by rolling Android 4.4.4 update for Xperia Z1 Compact today in form of exclusive 14.4.A.0.108 firmware. Sony has already updated its Xperia “Z” series onto android 4.4.2 version and now android 4.4.4 starts rolling just after a day when Google officially unveiled Android L developer preview. Sony Xperia Z1 Compact becomes the first Xperia device to get android 4.4.4 while Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2 are still waiting.

Android 4.4.4 Xperia Z1 Comapct 14.4.A.0.108 firmware update is confirmed in regions Russia, Indonesia, Italy and still seeding to other parts of the world. Android 4.4.4 update on Xperia Z1 Compact brings new simple home launcher from Xperia Z2, new Xperia Home launcher ( version 6.2.1.A.0.11 ), TV Sideview app ( can be a regional app ), more stable UI and usual performance enhancement fix. No tap to wake up settings seen in this update.

    No, Sony PC Companion checked my Z1C on 14.3.A.1.761 and said this is the latest update.

      Not until Sony updates it on their site. Minor update it is. Security fixes.

    i’ve been received the latest firmware ” 14.4.A.0.108/ 4.4.4 kitkat ” today for my Z1 , i buy this Z1 on a french online market , but the Z1 come from UK , he’s debranded …

    i live in france , sorry for my bad english ^^
