Recently we saw two android 4.4.2 KitKat 17.1.A.0.504 firmware and 17.1.A.0.391 firmware getting certified on PTCRB for Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet which clearly indicates that launch of Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet and Xperia KitKat firmware is almost near. Just now we spotted another 17.1.A.1.2 firmware certification on PTCRB.

17.1.A.1.2 firmware has been certified for Xperia Z2 D6502 HSPA+ and D6503 LTE versions and for Xperia Z2 Tablet SGP521 and SGP541 on PTCRB page. 17.1.A.1.2 firmware will bring android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box on Xperia Z2 and Z2 Tablet when it is launched officially with many new awesome Xperia KitKat features which we saw in number of leaks.

As soon as we get more info on Sony’s plan for rolling android 4.4.2 KitKat for other devices, we will post it. Till now KitKat update is only expected on Xperia Z1, Xperia Z, ZL, Z Ultra, Z1 Compact, Z1S, Tablet Z, Tablet Z2 and mighty Xperia Z2.
